For 20 years, Cherokee Electrical Contractors has been a trusted name in Cherokee County. Jerry Knott, Jr., the owner, grew up in a contractor's family, but he was drawn to the challenges of electrical systems. In 1999, he made the move to Houston and joined Denny's Electrical. His work included wiring homes for sports stars and top-tier commercial and industrial clients in Houston. In 2003, he earned his Master Electrical license and quickly came back to East Texas to establish his own company. He is a veteran of the US Army. Alongside his wife, Shelly, they contribute their time to several local initiatives in Rusk, Texas.
