I will never, ever use this company again. I had a small emergency Sunday morning. The electricity in my bedroom was not working. I called who was open. They told me they charged $250 for a minimum of 2 hours plus parts. The guy came late in the day. They had me send a picture of my circuit breaker. Just in case they needed a part. The guy was very nice. Turned out it was nothing. He opened one of the plates of the socket which was loose. Turned out that connects the rest of the sockets in the room. I had pulled out a plug and seemed it loosened it. He was at my house for a half hour. When I looked at my checking account today I saw they charged me $500!!! I called immediately very upset. Must be a mistake. The girl on the phone said "" oh no!!! We charged u $250 per hour for the two hours!"" I told her what was she talking about!!!? That's absurd! I was told I was to be charged $250 for 2 hours plus parts if needed!!! If they were going to charge per hour?? THEN U TELL THE CUSTOMER U CHARGE $250 AN HOUR FOR EACH THOSE TWO HOURS NO MATTER WHAT. And I told her I never would hv agreed to that. And, how they explained it was very very misleading. And I was not paying and I'd like a credit. If not I will put in dispute with my bank. Seriously, GE doesn't even charge those kind of prices to make a service call. This company has some nerve taking advantage of ppl like this!!

She had me hold on for 3 minutes. Got back to me and had the nerve to say her "" manager"" would get back to me! She was in a meeting! Right. Then I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you. She promised she would get back to me at the end of the day. Of course she never did. I knew she wouldn't. I went to my bank and told them what happened. They put in dispute. They will get their $250. But I wrote a terrible review on Google and now on Yelp. They are very stupid not to have gotten back to their customer. A small business relies on repeat business and recommendations.

I just don't understand ppl. To take advantage like that. They double talk you!! So beware! Don't do business with this company!!!

Very good experience. Was able to get an appointment in a reasonable time. Good communication with dispatcher and tech, Sam. Sam was very experienced, professional and knowledgeable. I had three problems, he diagnosed the two that needed it and took care of the third. It took over four hours or work, which wasn't cheap, but needed to be done. Very satisfied with Charleston Electric and Sam. Will use them again and will recommend them. And, thank you Sam!

From the moment I called Charleston Electric, their service was phenomenal! Crystal answered the phone and quickly understood the issue when I explained it. She suggested I send a photo which helped make sure the electrician had the parts we needed when he arrived at our house. Our appointment was scheduled quickly. The electricians were prompt, courteous, and quickly repaired our issue. They even fixed a bad switch as an extra bonus. I highly recommend this company!

STAY AWAY, do not use this company!!!! They are very nice and responsive but they're inept and incompetent. I had a generator installed by them and have had nothing but problems. By the owners own words, they originally sent an unqualified tech to fix my initial issues. I can't say enough about their lack of knowledge and skill.

I called for a simple light in the kitchen. They diagnosed that the light needed to be replaced. I paid for the consultation and made another appointment, asking for what kind of light I needed in order to replace the existing one.

A few days before the second appointment, I called again. They said they could buy the light and just charge me for time and materials. I happily complied. They charged me $200 for the appointment.

I called my tenant to ask if the light had been repaired, to which he said ""no."" I asked to speak to the manager and haven't heard back.

I'm $100 lighter and still exactly where I was before I called. Don't bother.

I called on a Friday, they said ok but I had to pay emergency rate if I wanted it before Monday. I said ok , 250 an hour. Fine. They said someone will call you around 830 the next morning, ok. Next morning no call. I call at 10 30. The lady says ok but it's 250 an hour. I said I know I set this up yesterday. This went on for a while. Finally she said the technician would call. I never heard again. Never seen anything worse run.

Stay away from this company. $200 an hour to install fans, with an estimate of 45 minutes per fan. Keep in mind, the wiring is in place. It should take 20 minutes tops from an electrician who knows what they are doing. Complete SCAMMERS.
