I am so pleased with my kitchen lighting. Charles Young Electric did all my electrical for my kitchen remodel. They were very professional, easy to work with, and arrived when they said they would. I had never done a kitchen before so I had many questions when Jason came out to give me an estimate, which he readily answered. As we went through the project, I asked for guidance and was provided good suggestions to accomplish what I wanted.

I called this company and spoke to Charles after business hours due to a breaker issue. We had no a/c on a 109 degree day. He was going to dinner with family and made a call Jason to come out that night and look at my problem. With in an hour he was there and was very professional and courteous. Diagnosed my problem got me up and running, he advises updating my junction box. Made an appointment to be back and fix it. Price was very fair and is explained in depth on phone. I would give 0 stars if I could. I wanted to have my old chandelier removed and have a new one installed. Chose this company because of the good reviews but I had nothing but trouble with them. I scheduled a service for yesterday, I told the electrician will come in between 12-4. At 11:30am, I received a call stating that the electrician ran into a ""huge trouble"" and will be late so they re-scheduled me to 2pm-6pm. Hours later, the electrician still wasn't here. I called again at 4:30pm and was told that the he wouldn't able to come. Would have been nice they called me to let me know. I was re-scheduled today at 2pm. Received a call early morning asking if they can come early around 11:30am-12pm. I did not agree because it was bad enough that I had to get off work early. So we re-scheduled at 1pm instead. The guys were on time but unprofessional. The big, tall guy brought a cellphone charger and immediately plugged it in the wall socket without asking if its okay, asked where the new chandelier is and I said it's upstairs. He started walking up the stairs and I told him to take his shoes off but won't so I had to get the chandelier down, resulting to it getting all tangled up. I was given a $200 dollar quote on the phone for installation and the price went up to $600 when they got here because of ""additional things they have to do"". I declined and was asked to pay $99 dollars for coming out although NO SERVICE was provided to me. I spoke to the owner and was told that I absolutely have to pag because his people has to be paid for their time. I also NOT told about this fee and my supposed consolation was that they would give me $99 credit for next time. They wouldn't leave till I gave them a check, it felt like being robbed. Scam.

I needed someone knowledgeable to help me convert an 8-tube fluorescent overhead lightbox to LED. I wanted to get rid of ballasts, etc and have a nice, efficient, clean install that I would not have to worry about for years. I called Charles Young Electric on a Saturday afternoon and received a call back later that same day, although officially they weren't even open. I was quoted a fair price for labor, since I would provide all materials.

George and Henry showed up this morning, promptly at the start of the work window. They quickly assessed the job and the hardware and got the job done with professionalism and courtesy. It took them about an hour, but it would have been a full day for me...and I'm not entirely sure I would have survived the job. (only half kidding!) They were even kind to my nosy dog! ( I removed him so they could work without distraction) :-) They transported the now obsolete fluorescent tubes and disposed of the failed ballasts, leaving everything just as they found it, only better!

Very thankful to Charles Young Electric for a great job! There's now twice as much light in my kitchen at less than one third the cost. I'll definitely be calling you again for future remodel work!
