Our experience with Charged Up EVs is as good as it gets. I contacted them to install a 240v outlet for an electric dryer and possibly install a car charger at the same time. Mike responded immediately and came out to take a look. He informed us of the huge rebate for the car charger, which covered almost the entire cost of that part of the project including materials. We agreed to move forward with the installation of both the Tesla car charger and dryer outlet, and Mike and Reese had the project done two days later with permits. We received our rebate check about 6 weeks later, just as promised. Mike's professionalism and friendliness is second to none. Highly, highly recommend!

We contacted 3 local electricians that are certified by Tesla to install a Tesla Wall Connector. Charged Up EVs was the only one that responded. Mike & Reese were very professional and explained the scope of work clearly so that we understood what all was required: charger, installation, and permit. Mike kept us in the loop as the project proceeded. The day of the installation went smoothly as did the City of SLO inspection. Mike also provided clear instructions (with a video) and files on how to apply for the Central Coast Community Energy (3CE) rebate. We were very pleased with Charged Up EVs and would highly recommend this company for EV charger installations.

By far the best experience I've had with an installation of any sort. Mike came out and did a site survey and talked to me about options for the location of the charger. He considered our concerns and needs for safety and convenience. We knew it wasn't going to be a simple install because our breaker was on the opposite side of the preferred install location in the garage.

I received a detailed and itemized install quote along with load calculations of our current panel showing us we could charge at full amperage. When I asked another electrician for an itemized quote or question, I received no response/reply.

Mike was great with answering all my questions and keeping me updated on our expected install date. Once the permit was approved, he was in constant contact with me to set up and finalize install/inspection dates. 1 day of install, inspection the next day. Mike also gave us a packet with information on 3CE rebates that we would be eligible for (with a video walkthrough help on how to fill out the application).

Overall, I would highly recommend Mike (apprentice Reece was a diligent worker also) and Charged Up EVs' install service. Quote was reasonable and with rebates, not much out of pocket. I'd rather pay a bit more to have ease of mind and know it's done right. It was nice having someone respond to my questions and requests within a day and not ghosting me. No complaints, have already charged my vehicle 4 times since install. No issues to speak of.

I really appreciate businesses like this one that just have good customer service and do a really great job. Electrical is something I don't know anything about but also don't want to mess around with, so I have to be able to trust that the electrician will do a top rate job. Mike and his team installed 2 EV chargers for me and did a fantastic job. I'm super thankful I found them. I highly recommend!

Mike made installation of our wall charger seamless. Prior to install, gave us all possible options for type, scope, and how much future-proofing we wanted to attempt. Explained all necessary prep during his site eval and got everything he needed from us in a half hour upfront. Both proactive and responsive via text/email on all fronts, and super knowledgeable as an EV driver himself with his own sweet ride.

Once we made our choice on what and where, all I had left to do was open the garage door. Mike handled permit application, found a better price for our choice of charger and took care of that, start-to-finish on the wiring/installation/testing of the unit, patched the whole thing back to normal, entertained the inspector w/o me, and then spoon-fed us with everything we needed to apply for the CCE rebate.

Start to finish: about three weeks from when I sent my initial Yelp inquiry to having my permitted 48a on the wall and rebate application submitted.

Michael installed two 50 amp NEMA 15-40 for me, one at my current house and one at my former house. The second installation was not easy, requiring trenching, conduit, junction boxes, etc. but he did it all. The hardest part, though, was getting a permit. At first it was denied, but after he appealed to the supervisor and showed him the load calculations, we got it. It has been two years and the charger has never had a problem and no circuit breakers popped!
