CEI was founded in 1971 by Emory and Margaret Young, who remain actively involved in the company. Certified Electric, Inc. has been a Carrier Dealer since 1976 and is now recognized as a Factory Authorized Dealer. The owners and officers of Certified Electric, Inc. grew up in Brunswick, attended local schools, and are actively engaged with the local Chamber of Commerce, various Civic Clubs, the Conditioned Air Association of Georgia, and the Home Builders Association.
