Love all the work they've done, from removing and replacing lighting for my Reno, exchanging switch plates from old and yellow to white to match walls, adding dimmers, and installing electrical in my kitchen island. Jason, Josh, and Sebastian have truly been a pleasure to work with. I know I'll need them again in the future and have their number saved! Additionally, their price beat the other proposals in spades. I highly recommend.

This company sent someone unable to do electrical work... when I asked him to stay to make sure that the light fixtures installed were working; I was told that I was being hostile and berating the electrician sent to install the fixtures. I even had a professional handyman on site at the time who asked specific electrical question, but even he was met with a defensive response and perceived as being hostile as well. When all was said and done the lighting does not work and the company declined to return to fix the problem. This company said that there will be no charge for time and materials - referencing that their employee will not be subject to a hostile work environment. I'm not sure I've ever heard of a company that does not want to satisfy the customer or at least get the customers version of what took place... Even given that there will be no charge for this stressful event - I must now find a competent electrician that will perform his own work.

We were referred to CEC electrical by our Realtors. We had them come out and give us a quote, at the same time, we booked them for the following week. On the quote it said if you have any questions please call or email. We both called and emailed, because we wanted to have our questions answered, and the response was less than customer service oriented, nor was it in a timely manner. I guess both calling and emailing were somehow too much for them, because they passed on our business. It must be nice to have so much business to pass on a $5,000, one day long job. We've shared this information with our Realtor, and hopefully they won't be recommended again. There's no way we'd ever use them for something as important as electrical systems in our new house.

Don't use this firm. I arranged a week in advance to have this electrician come out this Tuesday at 9:30am. I told them that it was the last day to do their electrical work before the tiler would tile over their work. They agreed to come on Tuesday at 9:30am. They called the day of the appointment to try to schedule the job earlier. I knew then that they probably didn't want my small job and they found more lucrative work, but I couldn't change the appointment time. They said, No problem, that they'd be out at the appointed time.
I was near the job site at exactly the appointed time and called them. They said they had already been at the job site earlier and had left. In other words, they asked to be there early, and I said no, but they came early anyway! They made up some excuse about another contractor being in the way, but the other contractor was working on the other side of the room! I also knew that they lied because the contractor already never said anything about using up the whole room despite the electrician claiming he had no room to work.
I asked them politely if they could come back, and they said they were already on the other side of town. Then I knew that they had come very early despite their promising me that they would not do so and that the would come at the appointed time. At the appointed time, they were long gone. They left me in the lurch because an electrician is very hard to come by at a moment's notice in Santa Barbara.
This electrician came wanting an excuse to go to another job, found his lame excuse and went to another job that he scheduled on top of my job. How do I know he already had a job at my appointed time? Because when I called his cell phone he said he already was at another scheduled job at the exact time he was supposed to be working on my job!
I asked them to call around to find another electrician to make up for their not following through with their promise, and the electrician started berating me over the phone using foul language!
It was a mess and my entire job was thrown off track, costing me a huge sum. Don't use this company. They are a disaster and will call you every name in the book when you ask them to do what they promised they would do !!!

I hired CEC for some work. I was happy with all aspects of their service: price, workmanship, scheduling, cleaning up, etc. I didn't accurately explain the job when I set the appointment, and they worked hard to make sure the price was the same as the quote. I would recommend them, and I would hire them again

I'm not sure how many times I will be needing CEC's services in the future (hopefully not TOO often), but you better believe that I have their number saved in my phone! Three days ago the power went out in the guest house we are renting in Montecito. I called the electric company who eventually (two days later) sent someone out. Their recommendation: ""Replace the whole box, its bad.""
With it being 4th of July weekend, it was almost impossible to get a hold of any electricians. When we finally did, Jason was ON IT. He came out to our place first thing this morning and figured out what the problem was in a matter of minutes! Best part is that contrary to what the electric company ""recommended"", we didn't have to replace a single thing. I was not there when he fixed the problem (my wife was present), but Jason even called me at work after he finished to let me know what he did and how we can possibly fix it ourselves moving forward. We really appreciate him coming out in a crunch on a holiday weekend and will be recommending him to EVERYONE in the future! You the man, Jason! Thank you!

CEC was at my house (where I am renting) today while I was at work to fix an issue. They were not able to fix the problem, which I understand can be difficult to figure out. However, whoever was working moved furniture in my room, knocked things off a table, and did not even bother to put the room back together. I came home to a messed up room with my things all over the floor. Very unprofessional. Like I said, I'm not mad about the issue not getting fixed in 1 day, but the fact they couldn't be bothered to clean up the mess they left is extremely disappointing.

CEC was incredibly helpful and did an excellent job figuring out what was going on with my electrical issues.
A good portion of my house lost power while a vacuum was plugged in. Jason came out and spent a good 2 hours, on two occasions trying to figure it all out. It was discovered that during a past remodel someone ""hide"" a circuit. This was alarming because it could be a fire hazard and was going to be costly to create a new circuit... on day 3 Nolan came out and discovered the hidden issue and was able to fix! All electrical is on and in time to cook Thanksgiving for 15! I really appreciate the time and energy that was put into solving the issue! Great guys! Highly recommend!

Great service! Jason came out to take a look at everything we needed to be fixed. We were on a time crunch at our new offices, and they made it happen. Nolan ended up doing all the work and he did an amazing job! There were a lot of issues on our end and he made it happen. I will definitely be using CEC in the future and would recommend to anyone.

I wanted to write this review because Jason solved an electrical problem with my stove after the first person from another company couldn't fix it, (but charged me anyway!). A neighbor then told me about Jason. When I called Jason he came over and fixed the problem quickly and his cost was very fair. Actually it didn't cost me as much as I was expecting. He was quick, reliable, honest, and such a nice guy that I thought I should write a review and let the locals know about a great electrician.
