CB Electrical is THE BEST when it comes to installing and managing pool equipment!
When you call, Vicki is going to set you up with either a cost and installment walkthrough or a tech to troubleshoot your issue. Vicki is super knowledgeable, very friendly, and wildly responsive. If you're unlucky enough to get voicemail, you'll get a return call that day, and probably within an hour-ish.
We highly recommend purchasing the equipment as a complete package so you can take advantage of the multiple year service warranty. Being in SoCal means you use your pool all the time, and that means the equipment is gunna take a beating.
Be smart! Save up your cash (oh, they take credit card!) and call for a quote. You'll be amazed with your experience from initial conversation to install. And if you ever have to call for service (as we just did), you'll be pleased and amazed with the speedy repairs, and even during these insane Coronavirus times! Thanks so much CB Electrical!!!

I had dealt with CB Electrical twice before and was very happy. This time, not at all. A tech came out and diagnosed the problem with our spa heater, and was going to call when they had received the part. After waiting over a week, I called to ask about it. I had an appointment today scheduled from 9-12. At 12 noon, I called and asked about my appointment. Vicky said she would find out. Almost one hour later, she called back and said he was backed up and would be about another hour to an hour and a half. So, 9-230p at this point? At 4pm, Chris showed up, said he hadn't been given an appointment time. I asked if there was some type of compensation they could offer considering I spent 9am-4pm waiting for them. I was actually about to leave. Chris said no. I said ok, no thanks. And off they went. No respect for client's time. There are many other businesses that value clients and their time. I've got another one scheduled already. I tell my clients if they don't see me, don't bother calling my cellphone and I'll be dead and can't answer the phone. Oh, and another company, La Canada Pool & Patio came over today. CB Electrical misdiagnosed the issue. Guess they just wanted to charge me for the part. Fixed in 10 minutes, charged for only the house call, no part needed. Glad it didn't work out with CB Electrical. Too bad the original Chris left.

Cris is reliable and a pleasure to work with. He has done a lot of work in our 1955 home including rebuilding our entire electric panel. He has very fair prices and always does exceptional work.

These guys set up my pool automation system and Wi-Fi to control my spa and pool and they did a fantastic job nice clean professional all the equipment was set up in a Workman like manner these guys are professionals. I am also an electrician but I had to have a certified Pentair electrician install the equipment so I hired these gentlemen and they exceeded my standards as a union electrician. You definitely will get your money's worth with the quality they provide. They are also taking care of my warranty issues, I had a problem with my heater, the element was bad and defective and they came out and took care of it in a timely manner. Again very professional very thorough very competent and communicated very well. I highly recommend these guys to anybody.

Chris has come out for numerous problems with a recent pool remodel. Won't ever recommend the installer but Chris came out and fixed everything that wasn't done correctly. Since then, have had other problems with the heater that Chris went way above and beyond to try and fix. Problem is the heater not getting enough gas. Not their problem but they sure spent a lot of time trying to fix it.
Would recommend them any day or time of the week. Professional in all aspects. If I could give them higher I would. 5 out of 5 best I can do.

Chris is an excellent example of how to run a responsible service. He has been out to work on my Jandy pool equipment several times and has solved my issues promptly and efficiently. I would definitely recommend CB electrical service.

I had an experience with Chris a few years ago. He assisted with some warranty work regarding my Pentair pool. Although he seemed to monopolize our conversations around his BYPASS gastric surgery, I actually did find him to be knowledgeable about the PENTAIR pool equipments. Aside from his fixation over losing over 100 pounds, the service actually seemed to be good when we were able to get him focused off his weight.
I have recently fallen off my warranty program with our PENTAIR equipment; therefore, I thought it would be a great idea to contact Chris for further service regarding the PENTAIR equipment. Wow! What a mistake! I would only use CHRIS or anyone from CB Electric if there was a big company like Pentair to hold them accountable. Now that I am not under warranty, my experience with CB Electric and Chris in particular was horrendous. First, I called and talked to Chris during the 1st week in January to schedule an appointment to check out my pool equipment. Chris was not willing or able to take an appointment without me calling his office. So, I called the CB Electric number that he provided. I set an appointment for January 25th. The CB Electric office called a few days prior to the appointment to reconfirm my appointment. On January 25th, no one showed up. By the afternoon on the 25th, I called the CB Electric office with no answer. I then called Chris in which I did get an answer. Chris told me that he did not have an appointment set and that his office must have made a mistake.
I scheduled a new appointment with Chris for February 15th. This morning, once again I heard nothing from Chris or CB Electric. I started to call both numbers at 9:30. Chris finally responded back at 11am letting me know that he can get to my location within the next two hours. I explained to Chris that I had a meeting that I could not change that started at noon. I was told that someone would be there in the morning between 8 and 10am. Chris explained to me that he was running late. We finally agreed to meet up after 2:30pm when I returned from my meeting.
The next thing that happens is unbelievable. I get a call from Chris at 11:25am letting me know that he can arrive at my house in the next 25 minutes and that because they usually have appointment time lines up to noon that that would be the only option I had. There was no concern that they have had me waiting around for them on the last appointment date. There was no concern for the meeting that I had set set 2 hours outside of the 8 to 10am time slot that I was given. There was also no concern for the level of unprofessionalism that I experienced in general. Chris ended our conversation basically letting me know that if I was not able to change my meeting, then they would not be able to assist with servicing my pool equipment.
I have never experienced such UNPROFESSIONAL behavior when the problem was caused by the servicing company itself. Stay away from CB Electric and Chris as there are too many really awesome pool technicians in the LA Area to choose from.

I have never written a review but my experience was so horrible, I just didn't want anyone else to get burnt as bad as I did. I had a pool valve issue that I called about and Chris came out to check it out with his ""helper"". He tried sanding my valve to loosen it up but due to the water level being at normal level, the valve area filled with water so sanding in water was futile. After 10 minutes, he told me to let the water level drop to the top step and he'd come back and try again without the water in the way of the sanding. He said that will be $95. Yikes. And I never saw him again! I turned off my filter and let the sum absorb the water down to the 1st step which too about 3 weeks, and after probably a dozen or more calls and left messages in a week and 1/2 with no answer or call back, I gave up as we're in the end of June and no one ( i have grand-kids who love the pool) can swim with the filter off and water level down. I wanted my pool back. No one bothered to return my calls, let alone come to finish the job that I paid for. I'm sorry, but this is inexcusable!!!! And on top of that, he treated his assistant like dirt.

Chris came over misdiagnosed my pool charged me $185 to replace a temperature control which was not even needed. He didn't fix the problem since he wasn't sure what it was and assured me that he would not cash the check until it was fixed. Within 24 hours the check was cashed. I then called the office since Chris never returned any calls or followed up about my repairs. I explained the issue to the office manager who promised a full refund...4 weeks later still waiting for the check left numerous messages and still no call back. This company is horrible...shady people would not recommend them to change a light bulb!

Chris came out to fix an issue with my Pentair pool equipment. He was knowledgable, professional and quickly able to repair my electrical issue. I would recommend his serviceable to anyone having electrical issues with your pool or spa. CB Electrical covers from Malibu to Riverside.
