I made an appointment with the owner, and he was a no show. I called, left a message, and never got a return call. My time is valuable and I need a company who is reliable. Needless to say, I took my business elsewhere. Unprofessional. I would not recommend.

Everytime this guy comes to do work on the home addition he seems to somehow always leave his trash in the road. I'm pretty tired of cleaning up after a so called professional. Would recommend using someone else.

We had multiple electrical issues (master bathroom power outage, multiple loose outlets, and flickering ceiling fan lights). We called Carter through our home warranty and they were professional, timely, and extremely knowledgeable. Prior to calling Carter, we had another electrician come out who was unable to fix our master bathroom power outage. Gabriel came out, diagnosed the problem and fixed it within 20 minutes. He was extremely knowledgeable, explained everything to us, and was very courteous and respectful of our house. Thanks!

I have now had three excellent experiences using Carter Electric. Specifically, Jessica was enormously knowledgeable about various electrical repairs and was able to match my needs with an excellent tech. She handled a potentially complicated situation very efficiently. Also, kudos to Gabriel. He is a very and efficient tech. He was able to come in, quickly assess what was needed for the job, and expertly get the repairs made. For anyone reading these negative reviews you will notice a trend. The negative reviews are more likely to be the result of the warranty companies they were using more than Carter Electric. It has been my consistent experience that home warranty companies have poor communication. That is not the fault of Carter Electric. I keep their phone number on my cell phone and wouldn't consider using any other electrical repair company.

This company was hired by my insurance company to look at my doorbell since the chime stopped working. There were a lot of negatives to say the least: the tech showed up past the 2 hour time frame given 20 or so minutes late, came unprepared on having his own tools to look at the chime so he asked to borrow mine (a ladder), asked if I installed the doorbell initially which I replaced (which I did)...then laughed about it. I'm pretty sure I didn't pay for services to be insulted in my own home and be left hanging later then usual wasting my day. Add to that he stepped his dirty ass boots all over my throw rug meaning he had no common sense at all to respect my house. At the end of this whole ordeal he didn't actually fix the issue and said I needed to contact the doorbell company I purchased from stating it's likely an issue with them (wish I could have given zero stars to to this place to be honest). I can see the sentiments appear the same about this company's staff basically stepping on people's beds and all. Didn't surprise me he stepped on the area where there's rug (my entire house is wood floors minus the throw rug in the center of the house) when it was no where near the repair area and it seemed he wanted to see what I had playing on my TV! The 1 star is default since I can't do zero stars.

From the first initial call with Jessica I knew this was going to be a good company!

I told Jessica EVERYTHING that happened w/ the first electrician J&C Services out of Imperial Beach, and ironically she knew EXACTLY what I went through as she always gets referrals from them!

She was so polite on the phone, understood my frustration and fixed it literally in 5 mins...she scheduled an electrician to come out to my home the next morning and even called me again to confirm!

Randy came out, diagnosed the issue and was in an out w/in 35-40 mins, unlike the last electrician who charged my insurance company 4 hours worth of work!!! I wish this company could charge my insurance 4 hours worth of work!!!

I am saving their card and if I have any other issues I'm DEMANDING my insurance company send them!!!

This company was assigned to me by Fidelity National Home Warranty. They do not return calls promptly. I had to call the warranty company, only then did they call me back. When they finally came out it was determined my ceiling fan was failing but was advised by the electrician I could still use it on 1 manual speed and I would have to hang a 6 foot pull chain. It was then determined a new fan would be covered and a 2nd visit was needed. The next electrician was out and needed parts but was getting off work soon and didn't have time to complete the work before his shift ended. Now awaiting a 3rd visit........if I can arrange more time off of work.
