This company has 5 stars for a reason!! Let's just say Jessica is was a God sent to me. We purchased a fire damaged house in need of major repairs and TLC. I called Jessica frustrated, in need of help in finding the best way to get electric back to our property without having to wait 2 months for SDG&E. After talking to multiple people about our issue, including our contractor, It was Jessica who figured it all out within a 10 minute conversation. All I can say is Carter's Electric is extremely lucky to have her as an employee and we are extremely thankful we found her. Thank you Jessica for your professionalism and knowing you job so well!

We had electrical issues in a commercial building on Sunday afternoon with SDGE saying ""all looks good on our side"". I found Carter Electric through yelp and talk to Randy who agreed to come in within 1 hour and help troubleshooting. Other electricians either did not return my calls or said they don't work on weekends. Randy got here in 30 min and quickly pin-pointed to some of our SDGE leads being dead and not issue within the building. With his prompt response and some luck from getting SDGE technician showing up quickly the issue got resolved on Sunday (took 8 hours) and we were up and running Monday morning.

Objectionable and useless visit through home warranty for ceiling fan (very similar to another review also found here - so clearly a pattern). The representative not only made no effort to fully evaluate the problem, but stood on a bed in his shoes in the process. A total waste of time. In addition, they did not report the PAID $65 to the home warranty company. I will be making a BBB complaint.

I would give 0 star if I could. They were sent out by my home warranty for my ceiling fan. The electrician step on my bed with his shoes to get to the ceiling fan. He also pushed my bed with his hips which scratch the floor and broke one of my outlet next to the bed. He did fixed the outlet when I pointed out to him. But he couldn't figure out what the problem is with the fan and he said it is my remote that is not a match for the fan. The remote worked for the entire time I own the house and he's trying to say it is the wrong remote. So my insurance deny the claim and I paid the guy 65 bucks to step on my bed and moved my furniture. I thought the nightmare is over at this point. But wait, 2 month later I got a letter from my home warranty says I owe carter electric 65 dollar service fee. I am providing my credit card statement trying to resolve it. Thank god I didn't pay the guy cash.

Jessica, Randy, Carrie and their technicians are awesome. They're knowledgeable, professional, and never over charge. They communicate well and treat every issue as their own. If you have an electrical issue get on their schedule knowing that you will be well taken care of.

I used Carter Electric 2 years ago to replace an electrical box. That work was carried out professionally and quickly. Dealing with the city inspector was an entirely different matter.

Today, I experienced an electrical outage in my kitchen which I could not resolve despite unplugging and plugging in all appliances, re-setting all the GFIs, and turning off and on all the switches at the box. I spoke on the phone with Jessica. She was extremely friendly and assisted me (over the phone!) to map out a series of other things to try to remedy the situation. Those maneuvers were successful without requiring a tech visit, or......a charge. I will certainly call Carter Electric again if I have other electrical problems or jobs.

Carter Electric was sent out through my home warranty to inspect an issue with my ceiling fan. The electrician turned on the fan for less than a minute and wrote what I told him the issue was. He didn't wait to see or smell the burning the old motor was causing. My home warranty claim was denied and now I'm out $65 for a 5 minute visit. Thanks Carter Electric! I'll go back and use Premo Electric, who thoroughly diagnosed the problem.

Carter Electric was so helpful in getting us a missing plate for our electric box that we so badly needed to complete our appraisal for refinancing. It took two trips for them to get it sorted out and they were nothing but professional. Jessica was so helpful on the phone!

Excellent service! I made my appointment yesterday and they were flexible enough to come during the two hour window of time that I was available. The technician arrived at the exact time I specified that I would be home, so I didn't have to wait around. The technician was very knowledgeable and found the problem right away and had all the repairs done within the hour. He cleaned everything up afterwards and was very polite and professional. I will definitely recommend Carter Electric to anyone I know who needs an electrician.
