We spoke on a Friday afternoon, and Mario agreed to come Sunday morning. Mario arrived on time and completed the project in a few hours for a reasonable price. I want to recommend Mario Carranza of Carranza Electric (415) 879-3935. He's super nice, honest, explains all of your options, and doesn't pressure you to make specific purchases. He also lives in Bernal Heights. Today, Mario replaced my patio light and installed track lighting and a dimmer switch in my living room all for $475. Plus he completed the job in about 4 hours. All I need to do is paint over 3 small patches where he drilled and replaced the drywall.

I spoke and texted with Mario on Monday, explaining what I wanted done. I sent him some pictures. We agreed that he would show up on Thursday at 3pm. He showed up with a smile and the exact parts we needed. He converted an outlet to be able to plug in my car charger, and also converted another outlet to a 20 amp outlet. He did both in an hour and charged a very reasonable fee. I will be calling him to for more projects in the coming weeks.

By the way, he has decades of experience and knows exactly what he is doing.

Mario is exceptional! His work is top notch (as I'll explain below). What I really want to highlight is that he is a great listener, very respectful, there was no MAN-SPLAINING. His demeanor is friendly and professional, he is an excellent communicator, and he gave me a fair price. He is the electrician we are all looking for!

The work: I needed a 240 v line run from my breaker box, to my kitchen (all the way across the house).

When he came for the estimate, he was prompt, and listened to the explanation of my needs. My home is over 100 years old and nothing is straightforward... however, Mario examined my home's current electrical infrastructure and then clearly explained what he would do. He was confident he could easily complete the job.

He provided me with a very fair estimate (and I was sure to tip him because he is worth so much more!!!!)

He came back two days later and did the job.

His work is excellent. He kept his work spaces tidy and cleaned up when he was done. After the work was completed, he walked me through the steps and made sure I was satisfied with the results.

If you've gotten this far in my review, I'm thrilled because Mario truly provides workmanship and customer service like we used to enjoy in days-gone-by. If you decide to have Mario come to your home to address your electrical needs, you will definitely not be disappointed!

I've never interacted with anyone like Mario. He's responsive, honest, and a true craftsman. I had Mario do a couple of things, he removed and rewired some old wires in my garage, he did that in an hour. Later in the week he did some pretty involved work of rewiring my living room which involved multiple trips under the house.

His pricing is very reasonable and he will be my go to electrican from now. If you're looking for a long term electrician, don't hesitate to give Mario a call.

Mario should get not 5 stars but 10 stars!!
All sockets in my living room stopped working. I had extension cords all over the house for a couple of weeks during this heavy rain. My friend recommended Mario, I called him on a Saturday, he showed up to my house right away. Once I explained to him the problem he knew what to do, I could tell then I was dealing with an experienced professional. Mario took care of the problem without any hassle, he even climbed a latter on top of the stairs to finish the job, I was very impressed with his job and even more with the low rates he charged me.
If you tried the rest, now try the best, I highly recommend Carranza Electric for all your needs, residential and commercial.

We had accumulated several minor electrical jobs (light switch problems, broken bathroom fan, etc.) as well as a more complicated project requiring some creative problem-solving (moving our fiber internet terminal, home networking RJ45 panel, and Ethernet switch into an enclosure to reduce cable mess and dust accumulation -- an overambitious pandemic project I never got around to finishing). Mario took them all on without blinking, got everything done in less than a day and for the original estimate, left everything cleaner and tidier than he'd found it, and even added hinges and a latch to the enclosure box. A+, would certainly call on him again.

Another five star review. Mario came out to fix two pendant lights in our kitchen. It was complicated but he figured out the problem and explained what he was doing every step of the way. I will definitely call him the next time I need an electrician.

Five stars! Mario was excellent- I reached out to several contractors about a broken light bulb base I could not remove myself despite several attempts ; Mario replied back to me within the hour, came out same day, was punctual and provided a professional service explaining everything! He appears very knowledgable about wiring. He charged a very reasonable price (other Contractors were going to charge me double+ the price!). He also genuinely seemed to enjoy his work and care about the results.

He even kindly offered to look at another light fixture in our pantry (that was incorrectly wired and not working) while here and knew immediately what to do!

Would highly recommend Mario , we will definitely be returning to him for any further electric needs!
