We noticed a ""funny smell"", kind of like a burnt smell, in our hallway and called Carolina Cool, thinking it was related to our HVAC since we had just started using the heat unit this fall. We'd seen Carolina Cool vans in our neighborhood and on the streets nears us. The dispatcher was very professional and told us we would be contacted by a technician between 2 and 6:00 for our appointment that same day. Mr. Stacey called us from the front of our house around 3:15. He and my husband did a throughout check on the heating and even hot water systems to see if that's where the problem could be, but everything checked out. Not satisfied that we'd looked into every option, Mr. Stacey looked behind our dryer and noticed that the exhaust tube was very compressed, which could certainly lead to heat built up and even could have caused a fire! He pulled out the dryer and shortened the hose so it fit better. He even used our leaf blower to make sure the path was clear! We were so impressed that we signed up for an annual maintenance contract right away! We are in a new house, only 3 years old, so we'd neglected to make sure we had annual checks on our system, which really is a necessity and will likely save us from any unexpected costs and outages. In addition to the HVAC contract, Carolina Cool offers an on demand water heater maintenance contract, and they will even check and replace the flappers in your toilettes! Wonderful business they take great care in helping you. Had service tech Brandon out Friday evening after hours and he was wonderful he got us up and running again and stayed to make sure air was running through the house and he was very professional. On Thursday I had a backedup sink and garbage disposal. I read all the comments on the plumbing pages and decided to use Carolina Cool. I saw a lot of people in this neighborhood use them, so decided to try Carolina Cool. It was my lucky day. They sent Connor and he was so good. He was kind, professional, showed me the problem, talked price, no pressure, and was done so quickly. I would highly recommend their company. Actually, I must say, Connor was the best!!! I have had Carolina Cool do a number of recent projects at my condo down in Myrtle, from fixing a heating valve, to replacing the water heater, to fixing the cooling, and each time it has been a great experience. I most recently had the pleasure of working with a technician named Cody who was upfront, friendly, knowledgeable, and super transparent regarding the repairs that Carolina Cool was doing at my house. He walked me through what might have caused the issue and made me feel comfortable that my system would hold up through the coming busy season and beyond. It's top-notch technicians like Cody who have made me feel comfortable knowing if anything goes wrong in the future I can count on Carolina Cool to make things right. A Carolina Cool service person was nice enough to knock on my door while working for my neighbor about 3 years ago to warn me there was an issue with my AC turning off and on quickly. I told him who had installed the system, and he said there was probably too much coolant over-pressurizing my system, and it might only need removing the excessive pressure to fix the problem I thanked him, but called the company that had installed the system 2 or 3 years previously. Big Mistake. After spending about $1800 for an un-needed repair-- it turned out Carolina Cool had been correct--I would have been much happier with them, and saved a bungle of money. If an honest service person ever gives me free information again-I will listen to them...

We contacted Carolina Cool for an electrical wall socket upgrade in our home. They responded promptly-----did efficient, clean and neat work and the charges were reasonable.

Carolina cool replaced a small HVAC pipe in my 1 bedroom condo which is a rental. Brand new flooring and cabinets were installed less than 2 weeks prior to HVAC work. HVAC pipe broke the following day and flooded my unit and several units below mine. Flooring and cabinets had to be replaced. Initially Carolina Cool took full responsibility and told me they would cover ALL my costs including loss rental. Over the next 2 - 3 months Carolina Cool changed their tune and said they would only cover drywall replacement. I got nothing from them! I had to file a claim with my HOA who did cover all repairs but not the rental income I lost due to their bad work. I lost more than 5 K in rental income. DON'T USE THEM. Plenty of other good companies that stand behind their work.

Carolina Cool is an amazing business. Our HVAC system was giving us trouble, ( it was the original with the home built in 1977) and we were having issues getting it to work. We called Carolina Cool on a Thursday and spoke with Carol and she scheduled technician Stacy to come out the next morning. He arrived on time and inspected the unit. It was full of dirt and mold.....he took photos to show us... and there was just a complete failure in the unit, being 44 years old. Also we noticed that pieces of black gunk had been coming out of the ceiling registers and Stacy showed us our duct work was literally falling apart. Jason, a salesman came out and confirmed what Stacy had told us and by the that afternoon gave us a bid for a new system. The price was great, we approved it and work began then following Monday. CJ and James arrived on time Monday morning and immediately began the tear out. When they brought the heat pump down from the attic we were amazed at the dirt and mold on it...really gross. No wonder my wife's allergies were going crazy since we moved in 6 months ago. CJ and James were professional, neat and clean with their work, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They answered all our questions and addressed out concerns. The work was completed exactly when they said it would be and our new HVAC system is up and running great. We are EXTREMELY happy with Carolina Cool and they deserve a 100 star rating. Thanks guys!!

We recently had Carolina Cool install a new HVAC system and we were so impressed with how professional, knowledgeable and thorough they were. We wanted the Unit in our Attic moved to a location that made it easier to work on and we also wanted the Unit outside moved from the side of our house to out back. Geoff, the salesman came several times for measurements, etc. and brought a contractor with him to verify what could be done with the job. He also came back with the two guys that were installing the units and the Electrician to make sure that all were informed of exactly where the units were to be moved to. The two men that installed our Unit, Steve and Ivan, were wonderful. Steve was the senior installer and the amount of knowledge that he had was so impressive.... and so nice to see. He worked meticulously to ensure that everything was hooked up correctly, checked all the existing duct work, added a new/additional return at the other end of the house, labeled everything.... so detailed and efficient. Both men were so professional and knowledge and so polite! We had used another company for the past 9 years and were constantly disappointed. We will now be using Carolina Cool for everything. We also found out that they do plumbing and electrical work too.
