Do NOT use this company. They came to my house and saw exactly the work that needed to be done. Did less work and NEVER told me that their verbal bid needed to be updated once they saw the work. Charged me M O R E than 3 TIMES their original bid!!!! They had every oportunity to communicate a difference. Buyer beware!

A company in disarray, the work they did was good, but they never completed the job, stopped making or taking calls, and left a bunch of tools at my house. It amazes me when a decent company can turn to sh-t in a moments notice!!

Robert had helped me with 2 projects, both he did excellent jobs. He is honest and charged very reasonable price. On my last project, he even stayed for another hour after his job was completed to communicate with water heater installer from other company. Highly recommended.

Thoroughly disappointed in how things ended up. Failed wiring job, incomplete project as discussed/quoted. Has chosen to not respond to comms any longer, left while in wall where embedded panel was to go, messes around house at work areas, and a three-way switch in the master was incorrectly wired. Just...disappointed.

Please read this!!! My husband worked for carney electric for 2 months, he had to quit because they havnt payed him since June they owe him 2 weeks of work and they don't bother to explain or answer the phone!!! We have reported them with the Texas Comission workforce, this company is so unprofessional with the employees.

Called Carney Electrical and talked to the owner and we both agreed on a time and date for him to come out and give an estimate on adding electrical outlets in my home. I waited on the agreed upon date and he never showed up, nor did I get a courtesy phone call to let me know that he would be running late or could not make it.

By far my best experience with any contractor. Carney Electrical quite possibly is one of the last honest contractors out there. two years ago when I totally rehabed a 50+ year old house in east central Austin I had Carney Electrical do all the wiring, It was almost a complete redo. Robert knew we were on a tight budget due to other contractor missteps and worked hard to keep the cost down. He went so far as working with the city inspectors to come up with acceptable alternatives that would save us additional expense.

Now two years later I called Robert for my own Kitchen Remodel. He quickly came out and gave me a rough price for the job. Once the work began it became clear that there was a bit more work than anticipated. Robert could have charged me significantly more but instead came back with a more than fair price. Robert's team of Shaun and Shay did a professional job and were obviously very knowledgeable electricians.

If you need any Electrical work done, Carney Electric is the company to call. These guys are the Best in Austin.
