Hired Ralph to replace outlets and switches in my mother's home. He was difficult to work with and had poor customer service skills. Some of the outlets he installed did not function. When I pointed this out to Ralph he became unpleasant and defensive. He quipped ""I don't make the plugs."" Duh, as if I did not know that, but he was installing them and the plugs were not defective, it was his install that was the problem! Overall, it was a hassle to deal with his attitude and I would not hire him again.

I had just purchased a dishwasher from Home Depot and when it was being delivered, I was told that it needed a separate outlet created for a ""hard wire"". I don't even know if I'm saying that correctly. The delivery guys wouldn't even do a swap of the old with new dishwasher until I had this hard wire install completed. So I immediately called Home Depot and they placed a referral to electricians who were on their contractor referral list. Within minutes I received a call from Ralph Carling. He came out that same day and had an outlet installed in no time. I asked him if he wasn't too busy, could he hook up a motion light that I've been wanting and had already bought, and without hesitation he said yes. I usually have bad luck when it comes to finding good contractors, but I'm so glad this one time it worked out very well. I'll definitely be calling Ralph again if I ever need him, and will also be sharing his name and contact information.

I called on a Saturday afternoon needing help with an issue with a LED pool light we were trying to instal for our teenagers birthday party tonight. The switch was not working. I called to see if anyone was available to look at it today to get it working- there weren't any openings today but he asked me what was happening with the light. I gave him very basic information , and he was able to troubleshoot the problem over the phone ! He knew exactly what the issue was with out even seeing it, which was amazing! Clearly he is knowledgeable in his field !
He definitely saved the day and the party !

Ralph did an awesome job! I had just purchased a home and i needed some electrical work done. Ralph had given me an estimate and said he would be able to get started right away and be done in a few days. The work that was needed, I thought would take 3 days, he was able to complete in a day and a half. We're talking 12 LED recessed lights, pulling a dedicated circuit for microwave, installing fan brace with light switches, fixing garage receptacles to meet code, and most of all I trusted him to get it all done while I was at work or away. I definitely will be giving him a call back for more work later!
