I needed 2 double gang outlets installed on the same wall tapping off an existing 20 amp circuit in may garage. Single car, single story house easy access.
40'+- Romex, 2 double gang remodeling boxes and GFCI's.
They quoted me $1200.0!!!!!!!!!
The job was done for less than half that by another electrician.
Seriously folks if you need an electrician this is NOT the guy.

Unfortunately, mine is not one of the largely glowing Yelp reviews. I contacted Carl Miller Electric for a price quote for a television-coax-plus-speaker-wire job, and was quoted a firm price of $800. I was particularly glad to hire his company because the Yelp listing stated that home theater connections were among his specialties.

About two weeks later, he came to my house to do the job, but seemed to have forgotten most of what we had discussed (number of outlets, connecting the speakers). He immediately raised his price to $1200. I might have cut him some slack, but the price increase was a whopping 150%.

Less important perhaps was that he and his coworker were completely unfamiliar with using banana plugs to hook up high-end speakers. That was something I could probably do myself, but still a disappointment for a so-called specialist in home theater.

On the plus side, they were invariably polite and showed up wearing masks within 20 minutes of when they had promised.

I sent out a request to 5 electricians, and Carl Miller answered within a few hours. A friend helped me redo a kitchen a few months ago, and when I went to attach the garbage disposal, I realized he did not put a switch to turn it on. Carl sent me a link to a push button device that will fix the problem. I ordered it, and he and Christian came to install it on a Saturday. When they arrived he looked at the situation and said ""this is real simple, I will tell you how to do it instead"" He told me how, and said no charge even for coming out on a Saturday! These are two very kind, professionals, and now I'm looking for things for them to do to let them know how much I appreciate them.
