This company is amazing. When the problem with my 2nd bathroom's shower drain was completely clogged, not only did the technician (Mr. Jake Hukee) do an A+ job, but came only 2 hours after I made the initial call for service. I was anticipating a few days to a week before I'd be seen. This is a 5 out of 5 rating, and absolutely and deservedly so.

We were having a problems with our a/c and had another company come out initially and told us we needed a new motor and gave us a quote. Per our warranty we were given Carini Heating &Air as an authorized company. Thank goodness we had Carini respond they assisted us and advised us what was really wrong. The repair man Tom was amazing and explained every step and the price charged was a lot less than the other company. I am so confident in Carini that I set up for yearly maintenance with them. Highly recommend them such a wonderful experience.

We had a Fujitsu Mini Split installed in our house in Pacific Beach back in 2013. The unit was over $8000.00 and at the time we thought that the install was done well. Several times over the course of its life, the condenser tray overflowed and leaked all over our back door destroying both door and trim. When we pulled the cover off the unit to investigate the problem, it was clear that the installation was done incorrectly. There is an electrical alarm in the condenser tray which indicates when the water level is too high. The manual for the condenser pump indicates that this must be hooked up. Additionally, the manual says that there must not be a kink in the hose attached to the pump. If these two things are not done correctly, the tray will leak. In our unit, there was a kink in the line because the installers cut the line too short. Additionally, the condenser pump alarm was not hooked up -- the wires were simply dangling in the unit. The system worked long enough to outlast the warrantee, but since the warrantee had expired, and Carini no longer deals with Fujitsu units, they simply washed their hands of this and told me that it wasn't their problem.

So in summary, Carini takes no responsibility for a correct installation as long as the system works longer than the warrantee. This was not a maintenance problem nor a wear and tear problem. This was an incorrect installation problem and Carini took no responsibility for it.

Additionally, when explaining these issues with the manager, I found her to be condescending, dishonest, and somewhat rude.

Carini does a great many installations of heating & AC in our neighborhood of old homes with challenging crawl spaces, old ducting and limited outdoor space for compressor units. The team is extremely experienced and resourceful - there is not a situation where they can't come up with a great solution. Carini just replaced our AC system and the work was flawless and the service was excellent. I highly recommend them.

Honest, punctual, and competitively priced (for the quality of work). The techs are all friendly and courteous, they fully explain and answer any questions, and then they leave the job clean. I've had this company out once for HVAC and once for plumbing and completely satisfied both times.

Had our service line pipe to the main sewer line fail on us and backed up into our downstairs bathroom. We had Carini come out for a second opinion as we didn't trust the diagnosis we were getting from another company. Sure enough, within 20-30 minutes Jake had put a camera down the pipe, found the clog, cleared the clog and diagnosed what had caused it. This was a big job, had to do an insurance claim to hep cover cost. Jake was able to speak with insurance adjuster to help get some of the details needed for the claim. Had to dig the concrete up in the garage to get to pipe and repair it. We are really happy with the work. Jake did a great job with repair and didn't mind all my questions along the way! He was really good about keeping the mess down to a minimum and cleaning up. I would highly recommend Carini for all of your plumbing repairs and needs!

A shout out to Miguel for fixing our plumbing and helping us discover some big issues that would have been a Disaster if we have not addressed them promptly. Miguel is super courteous and an excellent communicator. I know nothing about plumbing and having somebody break it down for me so I could easily understand is really what I needed!

Carini just installed a four-unit Mitsubishi mini-split system in our home and we couldn't be more pleased in every way: the planning/estimating, the installation, the friendly office staff, the installers and crew, and how well the system works. We chose Carini and the Mitsubishi brand mini-split both for the mini-split's reputation as dependable, highly-recommended equipment, and for the clarity and flexibility of the Carini rep who did the estimating, Carlos Esquivel. He was very thorough in his description of the system, what could go where (climbing around the attic on his first visit), our options for ceiling or wall units (we chose all ceiling units), and how many units we would need. We had several other estimates from other companies, and Carini seemed like the best choice, priced fairly, and with firm date for installation on our timetable (a couple of weeks out from the final estimate). Given that this was in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, all workers were masked, careful in their interactions with us, and very respectful of our home.

Carini workers arrived on time, led by their expert installer, Gio, and quickly started to work after double-checking all the installation details with us. Even though the installation involved cutting through drywall ceilings, their carpenter was very careful and as dust-free as possible. Daily cleanup was excellent by all the workers. While there were a couple of small issues (drywall patches, electrical) at the end of the installation as might be expected in an older home. Carini was quick to contact their workers who promptly and happily made the corrections. Communication with the lead installer Gio was excellent during the installation, as he would always check with us if he had any questions about our choice of installation options. The installation was completed on time. We couldn't be happier.

I recently had my HVAC replaced. Many thanks to Carini Heating, Air & Plumbing for an outstanding job. I appreciated the teamwork from Kathy in the front office; John Bodkin for estimate; Gio & Jesse for installation; Anthony for oversight; and Diana closing the loop in billing - very efficient; impeccable communication.

Covid protocols were followed, and all that came to my home were respectful. John listened to my requirements and didn't muddy up the estimate with extras I didn't ask for (or need). He asked the right questions and obviously did his homework on the homes in my neighborhood. Gio & Jesse are the ideal installation team. They arrived early both days; kept me informed throughout the install; cleaned up work areas; and maintained a positive attitude the entire time.

I really felt this crew truly cared and my satisfaction was a high priority. They weren't being nice just to be nice. Thanks again, Carini HA&P.
