I submitted a request for work through Yelp and received a reply from Rick, the Car Charger Guy. He replied immediately asking for details on the project and was able to provide a detailed quote and installation time for the home charger. I didn't know which charger to buy and he gave me several recommendations to choose from, walked me through the advantages/disadvantages of each one, and helped me figure out the best for our needs.

Leading up to installation day, he communicated clearly to confirm our appointment and arrived on time with one other worker. I was told it would be about an hour to install it and they were done within 45 minutes. They made sure I got connected to the app and the charger was working properly before cleaning up. They answered a few other questions and also made a few recommendations about how/when to charge our car and the app.

I received other quotes and talked with them about the project. None of them were able to answer questions or communicated well. He is priced competitively and worth using for any project. Highly recommend them and thank you, Rick!

Had find another installer after a previous company cancelled on me the day of installation. The company then rescheduled my appointment time the day before my second appointment. To top it off, they wanted to show up late after the scheduled appointment time.

Beware: Avoid companies that have a call center and contracts other employees to do the install. So the person who I talked to on the phone wasn't the same person who was doing the installation.

I was scrambling trying to find another installer and I'm glad I came across Car Charger Guy. Rick and his partner came out and got my charger installed the following day. The process took them less than an hour to complete. Highly recommend Car Charger Guy. Support local/small businesses.

I don't write reviews because why give myself the extra work. Rick and his team deserve it though.

I don't know much about electricals, but everything seems to look good and more importantly, after a few weeks of use, the system is working as it should. It took them about 1 hr 45 min to finish the job.

As to why Rick and his team deserve a 5-star review:
Originally I was quoted for the shortest distance from the electrical panel to the location I wanted the charging station to be with a 50 amp breaker (everybody were quoting me with 50 amp breakers as well for some reason). He arrived with one other guy and after looking at the garage in person (Rick only saw the job site from all the pics I sent him for the quote) they decided it would look better to ""hide"" the conduit closer to the garage opening and along a beam. He also installed a 60 amp breaker instead of the 50 amp which I later learned I needed in order to get the full benefit of my charging station. With all the extra work and the 60 amp breaker, he still stuck to his quote. THIS is integrity and is really what impressed me the most about Rick.

He could have done exactly what he quoted me and just charge me a little more for the larger breaker. He could have convinced me to go the longer more aesthetically pleasing route and charged me more for the extra work. Both of which would have been fine and something I would have expected from everybody else. Instead, Rick told me he'll make it more aesthetically pleasing, install the 60 amp breaker instead, and still charge me the quoted price. As a result, I'm writing this review and I've already recommended Rick and his company to a friend who just bought a charging station.

Rick and his team were awesome. He helped me navigate the process of figuring out what type of charger I needed as well as how to best install it in our panel. We had a Difficult set up with our panel, sub panel and solar implementation. Rick and his team were able to quickly figure it out and get it taken care of. What a fantastic, high-quality job they did. Had a Tesla Universal charger installed with a significant run through the attic from the panel to the garage and every piece of the job was done very well, cleanly, and quickly. They were highly responsive, clearly know what they are doing. I wouldn't use anyone else. Highly recommend.

Incredible experience with this team. I struggled getting traction with other companies from homedepot and my landlords referral. They were easy to work with, came early (but called first to mae sure it was ok), and finished in less than 1 lhr. The pricing was simple, got a quick estimate in a 5min call, and out the door for less than the estimate. They even showed up the same day I called them. I highly recommend this for any charger install.
