We have been calling Neil for decades for electrical work on our home. He always gets back to us right way and schedules asap. We recently need an additional plug for a stairlift install scheduled and Neil worked us in in days. Work at a fair rate and very clean.

I contacted Neil to do some electrical work in my home. He came out looked at the job, asked many questions which I thought was irrelevant to the work. He appeared to be a very sociable guy hence the questions to make conversation. I did not mind talking with the guy but I needed to get the electrical work completed. After checking out the job, he wrote down some information and said he would send the quote via email. He did send the quote. When I contacted him to accept the quote and set a date for the installation, he said he would contact me within a few days to schedule a time to complete the work. I have not heard from him to date and that was over a month ago. He could have just told me that he did not want to do the job instead of stringing me along. I can only give him one star.

Neil is amazing.

He is professional, considerate, and treated our home (and me!) with respect and care. Plus he's fair and honest, with reasonable prices.

We just moved into a house we've been renovating and needed all new lighting. There were no overhead lights in any of the rooms except the kitchen and bathroom. Neil did the wiring and install for overhead lights in all the bedrooms, 5 recessed lights in the living room, a ceiling fan, a chandelier in our dining room, and track lighting in the kitchen. He also rewired our back porch light that wasn't working, and our lights in the front of our garage, and even moved and hung a few extra fixtures and switches for us.

His work quality is exceptional. Everything looks amazing (even the awesome dimming switches he picked out for us!), and works like a charm. I'm so happy. His work really made our house feel like a home.

An outlet in the laundryroom was not working and I needed to have it fixed right away. I called Capitol Electric and Neil said he could drop by after he finished another job. True to his word, he called a few hours later, showed up a few minutes after that, and fixed the problem in a snap...literally. He pushed the reset and (though it would not reset for the contractor who was here) it worked. Neil has a magic touch. (I might have avoided the invoice charge had I asked him to talk me through over the phone- like he did another Yelp reviewer. But then, I would have missed a chance to meet a guy who seems like a down-to-earth and honest guy). I plan to keep his business card in a safe place so that I know who to call the next time my home needs electrical service.
