Henry, and especially his team members, did a superb job. A/C went out on the first hot day in June. An A/C repair person determined it was an electrical issue, but was too busy to finish the job right then. Turned to Henry and his team came out, sorted out the issue and spent one afternoon then the next morning resolving it (basically rerouted a low voltage wire from an attic through wall, down conduit to outside A/C unit.) I was 100% satisfied with the work. His team is professional, friendly, and conscientious. Will definitely use CPL again.

I avoid hiring contractors like the plaque so giving this 5 star review says a lot about CPL. I have an old Zinsco electric panel which needed to be upgraded in order for me to install heat pumps for the upcoming heat wave. Henry, the owner was responsive, informative and extremely price competitive. He and his crew, including the stucco contractor (A+) were punctual, professional and fast.

I added several items to the job up to the date of the job and he worked with me through the changes without any issues. I have also contacted him a dozen times throughout the process and he would always promptly call me back whether it was the weekend, day or evening. I would highly recommend Henry and his crew and consider CPL the go-to team for all my future electrical needs.

This is an overdue review. Henry installed a new electric panel for us. Our electric panel was very old and could become dangerous. It started with a failed AC problem and an incompetent and dishonet electric company came and diagnosed incorrectly pointing to a bad electric panel. That company wanted to charge me over $10,000 to replace my electric panel. My mental calculation knew it was way too expensive. That made me to find Henry. Henry came and tested my system and found that my AC problem had nothing to do with my electric panel. My electric panel was working fine although very old. My AC short circuited and tripped the circuit breaker in the electric panel. I found an AC guy to fix the AC and a couple of hundreds dollars resolved all of my problem. While on site for this, I asked Henry to give me a quote to replace the electric panel. His quote was less than one third of that from the first dishonest company. Henry said that it was not urgent for me to replace this electric panel. But I went ahead anyway. It was an upgrade and also gave me a peace of mind. Henry was very professional and did a clean and nice job. He handled all the permits and scheduling with PG&E. I am very happy with it. I highly recommend Henry for any of your electric needs.

I called Henry around 5 am, and he answered the call. I had a semi emergency and asked him to come by and help check out around 6:30 am, and he said sure.

I had some issue with flickering lights since shelter in place, lights dim when microwave is a on, and we can hear sizzling sound and power went out when the dryer is on. Henry helped identify the issue and replaced the main and sub panel. His price is almost half of the other bigger company that I checked out the previous day. And his work is of top quality.

Henry is sharp and analyzes problems logically. He always explains to you what's his thinking, why he wants to take some actions, etc. He identified issues and some burning signs in the panel (which is probably more than 40 years old). He also checked various lines and wiring to see if the problem could be PG&E related. Eventually, he and his helpful coworker replaced the panels within a few hours, and the flickering lights and weak electricity problem was gone ever since.

In addition, Henry is very well connected given his almost 30 years of experience in the industry. He knows the supervisor who's in charge of the city permit and can sort things out quickly; he recommended a stucco guy who helped repair the external wall and did a good job with reasonable price; he also recommended an HVAC guy (lots of my appliances are unfortunately broken down at the worst time) who helped check out my AC and gave a quite reasonable quote (compared to the bigger company mentioned earlier).

In general, Henry is very resourceful and can be very much trusted and relied on. I really appreciate his help with my emergency. I would definitively call Henry for any future electricity issues or other types of issues (just in case he has some good referrals), and would highly recommend him to anyone who's looking for a 'primary' electrician :)

I highly recommend California Power & Light Corp. Henry was referred to me by a good friend after I had a terrible experience with a contractor I had engaged through Home Advisors.

Our front porch lights (3 in total) had sort of stopped working; one worked, but the other two didn't. I didn't think it would be a complicated issues, so contacted Home Advisors and set up a fixed price appointment. The contractor they sent was here for several hours and couldn't fix the issue. He made a mess of the area he worked in and I couldn't understand 90% of what he said.

Henry and his team were here for under an hour, found the issue, explained everything to me in a way that I could understand it and fixed all the issues.

Very professional and on time. Had a weird arc fault trip and they diagnosed it and corrected it. Henry loves to fix things and you can tell he loves what he does and wants to correct your problem. It was a kick to see him try to figure things out. Very methodical. You have a problem, just call these guys.

Dryer wasn't heating and appliance repairman told me the problem wasn't the dryer, it was an electrical issue. Electrician from CP&L came out and checked the circuits (they were fine) and also determined that there was no visible heat damage to the power cord. He said that the repairman was wrong and the problem wasn't electrical. He recommended a licensed appliance repair company and I contacted them and they fixed the issue, which was a sensor in the dryer. Appreciate the electrician's checking things and also giving me a good recommendation for appliance repair.

Can't recommend California Power and Light enough! Henry and his guys know what they are doing. I've used them for several jobs, at two homes. Most recently we had them upgrade our panel, re-splice our crimp connections, run some new lines, and add some new outlets. All the work is completed quickly and efficiently and I am confident it's done right. Henry, the owner, came back one evening after business hours to check something we weren't sure about. He's dedicated to his work and you won't be disappointed.

Henry and his crew are the best. We called them about getting our remaining fluorescent fixtures replaced with LEDs, and they did a phenomenal job, cleaned up after themselves and were in and out in a couple of hours. Henry helped us understand what different lamps would look like in terms of color and brightness, and we could make the right choice (which is working really well in our space). We were so happy, we had them do the undercabinet lighting as well--which they did the next day. We are SO thrilled with the kitchen and baths now. When we need any electrical work done from now on, they are our go-to guys. Also, terrific prices, and clear communication up front.
