Recommended Customer Reviews

I have been here twice now and both times the employees were helpful and not condescending. They could tell I am a novice with home repairs and took the time to explain things to me. Next time I will look around the store instead of just getting counter service. They appear to have everything electrical and they know right where to find it. Their kind service made my day!! Highly recommend this convenient fully stocked store! Right by the RR tracks just north of Tri County Produce, on the same side of Milpas Street. Note - they close at 4.

HIGHLY recommend this place. Absolutely amazing and helpful staff, friendly, kind, courteous, and I am not an electrician. I was a walk in customer (I should say walk up with COVID procedures in place) and they were so helpful to me, not rude cause they could tell I didn't entirely know what I was asking for.
If you are in need of any electrical supply from outlet covers to LED lighting this place can help you.

These guys are extremely helpful and nice, will definitely be shopping here again when im back to finish the project.
Had everything I needed to start and finish the electrical job we had, clean show room and carry the full line of sonos speakers and nest cameras. It was perfect!

Amazing customer service.
The on-line customer ""users guide"" for my Dacor electric oven gave the wrong voltage for the interior light bulb.
The CES assistant researched thoroughly and got the correct bulbs
Great feeling to know there are companies caring enough to get even the smallest job done perfectly

This is the stupidest service I've ever had in my life. They don't know anything about electronics. Every one was unhelpful except for the cashier. And don't go there 30 minutes before closing because I got kicked out. No good

I wanted a physical store in case I needed to return something. I called CES with picky specs: small can track lighting components with LED bulbs (lamps) of at least 550 lumens, no higher than 2700 degrees K (warmer color than normal LED), wide angle beams, etc. They found some and when I gakked at the price they found a lower priced alternative at slightly lower lumens (still over 500). The parts were ready when promised. On the day of the install, one more ""stick"" were needed and the electricians were on the clock. CES had them ready when I arrived less than 20 min later. They saved us money on electrician time.
When the lamps started to fail a few weeks later, they cheerfully replaced the 1st two defective ones out of the 15 we bought. After 2 more failed they offered to replace ALL the lamps -- whether they had failed or not -- with a different make with the same specs. The replacements have been great, the lighting is 6 months old now, and it is a joy having lighting that illuminates where light is actually needed in the kitchen, the office and the hallway (no more squinty-eyed rummaging in dark hall closets, or casting one's own shadow on the food chopping, or not being able to see the various connections of the wire maze that connects modern office equipment.)
They are located conveniently close to my favorite greengrocer and the 101 freeway. They seem to serve mostly contractors, so no showroom, but the service is outstanding.

California Electric Supply simply knocks it straight out of the park when it comes to customer service, product knowledge and availability. I've been a customer since the 1970's and every experience with them has been a good one. These guys have integrity, and if it's anything more complicated than a 100 watt light bulb, CES is always my first stop.

My electrician sent me here with a list of items to get and they were so helpful! Spent time explaining things to me, offered to talk to electrician on the phone and encouraged me to return anything that wasn't right. These types of places, that cater to the trades, can be so intimidating. Not here. They were absolutely great.

Such a helpful store for any electrician doing work in town! They stock a huge variety of products and have the personnel to quickly and effectively serve their customers. CES isn't limited to just wholesale. They serve the general public with anything from light bulbs to track light heads to USB outlets.

This place sucks a bag of dicks! The people are rude an unhelpful. They tell you they have lights in stock without even checking then you get down there and they don't have them and haven't for weeks. They say it takes a few days to order parts and it takes two weeks or more. We've been trying to get our lights for over a month and it should've taken a few days. They say they'll call you when your order is in and they NEVER do. I wish there was another place to go to in town maybe that would force these guys to get their act together. Most worthless fugazi business ever.
