Established by Justin K., CAL TEC Electrical Systems is a Concord-based team of proficient, certified and experienced electricians who assist the Tri-County region of Contra Costa County, Alameda and Solano County. Not only do we possess in-depth expertise of electrical setups, troubleshooting and fixes, but we also bring two decades of compliance expertise that distinguishes us from competing contractors and tradespeople who merely seek to earn fast money. I belong to a family with three generations of tradesmen. My ancestor was a Navy electrician during WWII and also worked as a builder. My dad is a retired building inspector with 30-plus years of service and is currently a builder. Two uncles of mine and one of my cousins are also electricians in the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (with my uncles being former). Additionally, I have an additional uncle does electrical work for defense installations. I developed an interest in the world of electricity during my high school years, where I completed three years of electronics. Following graduation, I worked in the Pac Bell facilities around the San Francisco Bay Area for a short time before I became a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Back in 2006, I chose to go out on my own.
