We had an issue where some GFCI outlets malfunctioned and all the outdoor ports were not working. Bad timing since that meant we had no working Christmas lights!
I got quotes and availabilities from several electricians on Yelp and went ahead with Cabrillo due to their availability. The Cabrillo team was on time per schedule and was able to quickly diagnose the problem. They fixed the malfunctioning outlets and also future proofed the outdoor outlets by adding weather resistant ports.

I have more electrical projects in mind, that I will certainly reach Cabrillo; post pandemic. And did I say, they wore masks! Thank you Cabrillo team!

Hired them the day before because I was in a bind. They promised to finish because the drywall guy was coming the next day, but they left the bathroom fan without an exhaust connection. They promised to finish when the drywaller is here. They did come back the next day and finish the fan. They also offered to connect the new light and cover for fan after other work is completed.

This review is way overdue!! I HIGHLY recommend these guys. It's worth every penny to have people in your home that you can trust and who do great work. I hired Lowell and Lowell Jr. after meeting with several other electricians. I found them on Yelp and they came out to check out our home to review our needs. I immediately felt comfortable with the father/son duo. They are experienced, fair, and trustworthy. We bought a 1937 Spanish-style adobe house that had very outdated electrical. As a safety measure and to upgrade fixtures, we ended up rewiring most of our downstairs and also adding new switches and recessed lights. They charge by the hour but work every minute of the time they are onsite, unlike other contractors who may take advantage of an hourly rate. Their expertise and care were worth the money and I have the confidence knowing it was done right. We developed a great relationship with Lowell and Lowell, and even our dog was sad to see them go!

I am remodeling a bathroom and needed 3 new circuits run from my panel to the bathroom (lights, outlets, fan and toilet). If you have been looking for an electrical contractor during COVID, you know that it is tough to find one who is available within weeks. I contacted a few contractors and they either did not respond for 4-5 days or responded and said they could give an estimate in 3 weeks. I contacted Cabrillo Electric and received a response back quickly. I was told that they were busy on other jobs but they had some time the next day to stop by to review my project. They called the next day to let me know when they would be at our house and they were on-time (they were always on time). After reviewing the job we decided to do it on a time and materials basis. They are a father and son team with decades of experience and I was impressed at their knowledge of Electrical Code and how they only intended to follow it. They had a few hours free so I agreed to have them begin the project and we agreed that they would fit me into their schedule over the next week or two based on both of our schedules. I have to admit I was a little concerned because you never know how fast someone is going to work when they are being paid by the hour! Not a problem with Cabrillo Electric, they work fast, I was amazed how much they could get done in a couple of hours. Overall my project took them 5 hours over three different days and I would not hesitate to recommend Cabrillo Electric to friends, family or use them myself in the future.

We have a rental property in SD and the guests complained that the power went out in the bathroom and back bedroom. I asked them to reset the breaker but they said it didn't work. I was worried so I called Cabrillo electric based on the yelp reviews. They responded right away and was able to meet me there that day. Well it was the breaker. The guests used a hairdryer and tripped it. They didn't reset the breaker! But that's besides the point. Cabrillo electric were very responsive and would call them again for future repairs.

Lowell Sr. reached out immediately after my previous review to make our situation right. It appears that we may have had a technology issue. He and Lowell Jr. came over ASAP to inspect the load center, try some fixes and explain options. I felt very confident in their expertise and they explained things in laymen's terms. It says a lot about their integrity that they turned this into a positive situation and we really appreciate the work that they did today.
