Just began service with C. Woods Company. So far, so good. I called and scheduled a regular service for my air conditioning unit. The company responded promptly and the person on the phone recommended they also look at my heater.
The day before the appointment I got a text message asking me to confirm, and the day of the appointment I got another text message telling me who would be arriving at my door.
The bad news, for me, was that the heating unit for this house needed some work. The price was, perhaps, a bit on the high side, but this is not an area where I am trying to penny pinch. I find C. Woods to be prompt, reliable, professional and quick to diagnose and fix the problem.
I would recommend.

Had them out to our home to install 2 new toilets, a kitchen faucet (all of which I supplied) and a safety valve on my water heater, $1500+ later which is by their own admission was about 30% higher than others..Had to have both toilet flanges replaced at more expense even though it was their mistake and one toilet now is loose and rocking around again. Call someone else that can do the work right and doesn't have to charge high prices to pay for the fancy trucks they drive

This company way overcharges for services.. We need a new central air system soon and they quoted us about $9,000 for that. We've had 1 other company come out for a quote since and they gave us a quote for $6,000.

Called them out to install a new Electric Water Heater that I provided on site. Easy access in the Garage open closet. They quoted me $875 to install. I asked how long will it take? Answer 2 hours. So they were charging $ 435 per hour! I think not! Told them to leave immediately. Called another plumber and job done for $300. Overpriced!

They broke my sink the. Told me ""it can't be fixed, you gotta buy a new one."" I had a friend come over he fixed it. They installed my A/C unit and the fan was wired wrong it was blowing backwards. The guy was watching YouTube videos to figure out how to install. I will never use them again. They may have people licensed, but that is not who will come to your house.

Initially, I reported a positive experience. From scheduling to Jason's prompt service call and professional demeanor. He identified the problem quickly and the part was ordered.
Issue: The Repair Estimate
Beware part price mark up! Disclaimer: I attempted to reach the owner to discuss before leaving this updated review. In fact, I was chatting via yelp with Chad W: Owner, but it turns out he's the Marketing Director.
Chad stated that he didn't handle that end of the business (part pricing/ordering) and that I'd have to call the office.
In response, I spoke to a Jessie who said she would have the actual owner contact me. Another female employee (not the owner) called me to inform me the part was in and inquired as to setting up the next service call. I explained that I first wanted to obtain the actual part number and price, as I felt the repair estimate was exceptionally high.
Several minutes later a Mark called me and asked me if I wanted to set up the service call, or not. I asked if he was the owner. He said he was the General Manager. I shared my experience and concern regarding part price mark up. He held the position that $337.78 was competitive for a Hot Surface Ignition Glow Bar repair. I declined.

Charged over three hundred dollars to install a garbage disposal that I provided.ridiculous overcharge.they present you with a written quote before they do the work so if you do not sign they do not do it. When I called their office to complain about the exhorbitant price a guy told me hey,you agreed up front,you didn't have to use us. I was not present when this happened,my wife was there alone and signed the paper not knowing that the amount was outrageous. The guy in thee phone started telling me about all their overhead and they have to make a profit etc.
The job took less than one hour .as the cwoods guy said, we had the opportunity to decline. Had I been there that is what would have happened.300 dollars an hour and I provided the disposal.
Moral of the story is buyer beware.they did a good job but their price is ridiculous.

A/C went out Sat nite..called and got appt.for Sun at 8am..tech showed up on time and had ac up and running in just a short while..thanh you C Woods and Michael Ragsdale! Fast efficient and friendly service!

I'm giving this 1 star ONLY because my A/C is fixed for now. I made an appointment 2 days earlier since my A/C was not working, but I have fans. The best time frame they could give me (even with 2 days notice) was 10-12, so ok I took a whole morning off. The office called before 10A and said the tech was on the way--he finally arrived at 2 minutes until 12. I had better things to do than wait around ALL morning; could have just met him at lunch. So, to the fix-- First, the tech DID NOT check the entire unit which I would expect, instead, he just checked my outside unit since I told him I thought that was where the problem was. He determined within 10 minutes that the connector was bad and said it would be $258 to replace it. I asked how much the part alone was and he said he had no way to know that it's all inclusive. I needed air, so I said ok. After another 10 minutes, it was working, but now he said the unit needed freon and it would be another $200-300, he wasn't sure exactly, but assured me he'd check to ensure it wasn't leaking. I asked where it could be leaking and he told me it was usually the inside unit. He NEVER even looked at the inside unit. $482.65 later, my air is working, but I KNOW I got ripped off using this company. I checked on the price of a connector for my unit and the MOST expensive one I found online is $49.99. Apparently, C. Woods charges $208/10 minutes or $1248/hour for their labor. OUTRAGEOUS and I probably still have a freon leak since the tech never checked the lines or the inside unit.
I'm sure I can find a better company to come do a comprehensive check and servicing now.
Bottom line-- Save your money and find an honest company with techs who won't take advantage of people in a pinch.
