Shopped around for different quotes on an install of a Tesla wall charger; and out of all the places I called this was not only the best priced, it was a super quick and easy install, super clean, and overall the job came out better than expected (no conduit!).

Do yourself a favor: don't bother scrolling, just cut to the chase and call Carlos. After reading the reviews I had a feeling he was ""the one"", and he was. I'd been considering another company with good reviews, and I'm sure they would have been fine. But as I was reading their blurb about ""our team of professionals"", it suddenly hit me: I don't want a team of professionals, I just want a guy. You know, That Guy. That gem of a local guy you brag about later to your friends and they all want his number because ""omg, what a find""! Gets back to you right away, fast appointment, figured out our rather bizarre electrical issue and fixed it in no time at all, and on top of everything else is just an engaging, caring, stellar human being. Carlos is our go-to guy!

C. Bates Electric was AMAZING! For our first issue, our electricity went off. We tried calling for an electrician to come fix it but it was Sunday so no one responded..but C. Bates Electric did. That same they answered, they came and fixed the problem!

With their fast response, we knew they had to come back and fix our second issue, our Tesla charger.

We scheduled another day for them to come by. They fixed our second issue within the hour! Not only is their work great, but they are also interactive and very much engaged. My husband asked a few questions and they answered them without being annoyed by it.

We were so grateful and satisfied with their service that they will be coming back to do more projects with us and have recommended them already to my friends and family!

I have been using Carlos as my exclusive electrician for several years now. He has completed many projects for me from basic work like ceiling fan and fixture installation to more extensive work like upgrading my circuit panel. Recently I bought a home that needed a lot of renovation. Carlos was there promptly from the very beginning. He installed nearly 40 recessed lights throughout the house, of which he offered lots of helpful professional advice on the placement of lights and which kind would work best for each location; he upgraded both the main electrical panel and the sub panel; he wired the kitchen for our appliances; he installed under cabinet lights in our kitchen; he ran power from the main house to a new shed and outfitted the shed with lights and outlets. Honestly, he has done so much work for me that I probably have left some things out. The bottom line is that if I have any electrical issues or questions I know that I can call Carlos and have his professional expertise answer my questions or fix the issues. Beyond his qualifications as an electrician, Carlos is a wonderful guy with a very nice personality. He is honest, helpful and straightforward. Call him, you won't go wrong.

Needed to upgrade our main panel in order to add an electric car charger. Carlos came out and gave a clear quote at a great price and handled all the permitting and coordination with PG&E etc. The panel install was painless and looks great. The car charger is a dream. And the best part is now we're a few months down the line and when I had a question about the electric he didn't hesitate to explain everything to me. Would certainly recommend him to anyone looking for electrical/car chargers.

Carlos gives ""competence"" new definition. He is a great communicator, highly-skilled, positive, courteous, friendly, professional, and fast! He replaced our smoke detectors which were a patchwork of different alarms that chirped relentlessly all hours of the day and night despite the endless new batteries we installed. He also replaced our under counter lights. I am thinking he probably should have a fan club. He is really super at his job---and also with our dog.
