Recommended Customer Reviews

I had a somewhat disturbing phone conversation with Burchfield
electric today. Consequently, I feel t necessary to write this review. The young men who did the electric work seemed highly qualified and they were very friendly and seemed very interested in completely the work carefully. However, I had flickering LED lights in my kitchen and sent a picture to the company before they sent someone out on Thursday, June 29, so they would be aware of where the problem might be. They changed out the connections and said that it should fix the problem. When I went to cook dinner that night they were still going out and flickering, but it was too late to call the company because they were closed. When I got a hold of them the following morning, they said they could send someone out on Saturday and I said fine. This time they brought new lights to install and said that was probably the original problem. I received the bill today for $388.00 which included 2 service charges when the problem had not been fixed 2 days earlier. I expected to pay for all the materials involved, but never have I had a service company come to my house and not be able to fix the problem and then charged me another service call to redo the repair(minus $50 of the second charge). When I spoke to the woman on the phone she really became rather irate with me and when I told her that she said she was just trying to explain the situation. What really bothered me was the fact that I asked her what the price of the lights was and she said it was on the invoice. I said it wasn't and she said it was and went to get her invoice. We argued about it and the prices of all materials were not on the invoice. Then when I complained about the second service charge she said ""what do you expect, to have our trucks equipped with all materials to do a job?"" I said that is why I sent you a picture so your servicemen would probably know that it could have been one of 2 things wrong, the connections or the lights. Unfortunately, they chose the wrong one. Not their fault, but when a service is not completed and in working condition then I shouldn't have been charged again for the repair that didn't work the first time. I've never in all my life had a service call that wasn't fixed be charged again to repair the fix. As I left it, I told her that I wasn't able to pay the whole invoice because it was unreasonable and she asked what I intended to do. I told her I would pay half and then the other half later. I have also decided to return to my former electric company, Kelly Electric, from now on. They were too busy so I got a recommendation from a good friend and called Burchfield. The first time I used them several months ago, everything went fine, but this time was a real disappointment.

I can't say anything but the best experience I have ever had. They did not give up till the problem was fixed the same day. Very polite and prompt. I will never call anyone but Burchfield electric. Don't waste your time calling anybody else.
