I was pleased to come across Budget Electric for the work needed in Santee San Diego. I live in Los Angeles and was calling around on behalf of my mother. First of, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY, IF YOU WANT HONEST WORK, AND NOT BE SCAMMED, PLEASE GIVE HIM YOUR BUSINESS, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

I did not read any reviews on this company and was pricing at the time. I got Billy / owner on the phone and asked me questions and so on. We then scheduled for him to come out to my mothers house to give us his opinion. Mind you I called another company (United Electric) and was quoted $1500.00 and was told if we do not take care of asap, the box will catch on fire.

Billy came out a few days later for the estimate, and found out my mother did not need a new box..... Billy was also kind enough to turn on the lights in the kitchen before he left.
I hired Billy that afternoon and scheduled the work. Billy fixed my mothers kitchen along with all the outlets in the home that was not working and paid less than $250.00. If you can do the math and see the difference, that's all I have to say about this company. Too many scams and dirty business out there, it is of comfort to know there are still companies and people left like Mr. Billy @ Budget Electric. THANK YOU BILLY FOR YOUR HONESTY.

I have used Budget Electric multiple times over the past 4 years, from small electrical issues (an electrical outlet stopped working, which caused the rest of the outlets in the room to stop working too) to a major issue in one of my parent's rental homes (house's connection to the main power lines was damaged and required Budget Electric and SDGE to come out for the repair). The owner Billy Lopez was very professional and took care of our problems very quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend Budget Electric!

Bill did all the electric work to get my small business ...Clairemont Coffee...through all the hassles of the building dept and health department. His help was invaluable. I acted as my own general contractor... And while was not a huge job..he always found time help me... He is a good, honest, electrician. I would recommend him to anyone!

This business is also doing business under the name La Mesa Budget Electric Contractor, Inc. and is using my home address as its location. It is not located at this address and is committing fraud by claiming my house as his business address. He does not have a business license in La Mesa, CA. I have repeatedly requested Bill Lopez to remove my address from his business and he refuses. Now he claims that he doesn't own La Mesa Budget Electric Contractors, which is a lie. Ask yourself, why would he be using my home address fraudulently? Why and who is he hiding from? Why is he lying?

Excellent customer service, Billy talked me through a job over the phone and refused payment!! His primary concern was safety. He will be my go to electrician from now on!

This is a first class company. I'm a general contractor who hired Budget to do a commercial project. The work was scheduled, performed and finished all on schedule.

I would give Budget Electric a solid four stars. Bill's work is excellent and you definately get the feeling that the job is done right. The only downside is that Bill charges $100 an hour and is quick to point out additional work that needs to be done. I don't blame him at all and it probably does need to get done.

But when your on a fixed budget its hard to come up with more cash. I think Bill's work is excellent but price is full retail so I have to take off one star for value.

Great work done by this company. I wasnt able to honor the original work date, but Billy showed up the next work day and did the job well. Even fixed some hazards that werent part of the original bid. He will definately have more business from me.

Although I'm not a neophyte when it comes to solving most of my own home problems I had an entire electrical circuit go out that wasn't at the circuit breaker and was beyond my capabilities. I found Budget Electric and owner Billy Lopez on Yelp, through the Better Business Bureau, and gave him a call. He returned my call almost immediately and as soon as he was able to break off another job a couple days later he came out to my remote home in the outskirts of the county. He spent a couple of hours locating the problem and came out the next morning to make repairs and resolve some other wiring issues as well. You could see that when things weren't easy to solve it only hardened his resolve and made him work harder to find the problem. He was polite, thorough, explained exactly what and why he was doing things, and kept the bill reasonable despite a lot of effort and work on his part. I was extremely pleased with the service and recommend this company to anyone who has an electrical problem in their home. They well deserve the five star rating which I gave them.
