I called Mike after reading some positive reviews on a neighborhood site and Kudzu. I called Mike a little after 8 am and he was able to schedule me for a same day, 11 am appointment. I needed help with a pendant light in my kitchen that had the bulb and glass fixture explode. Mike and his helper, nephew Eddie, were right on time and were able to solve the problem with an existing replacement fixture I had purchased about 6 months ago. The whole thing took about 45 minutes and it was very clear that Mike knew what he was doing. I was surprised that the bill was $215 which I felt was high and therefore I am rating 4 stars instead of 5. I would highly recommend Bryco Electric but the next time I use them I am going to ask about the cost first.

Mike and his son are real nice guys and come with a friendly attitude. I had 4 issues that were brought up in my initial phone calls and texts to him.

Mike and his son were able to take care of 1 of my issues completely and for that I appreciate it.

With that being said, here are the challenges I ran in to with his service:

he arrived late (he called ahead, though, so I appreciate that).
I made reference of the exact time, 3 times, I had to leave my house for a lunch appointment and he made me late for that.
Because he started and finished late, he did not have time to clean up the mess on the carpet and wood floor.
I was not aware of a Saturday charge that is extra.
He charged me for two hours when clearly he worked only 1 1/2 hours...and that's while I'm giving him and his son free soft drinks.
I had to re-explain all of my 4 pressing issues and that took time off of the clock.
They did not focus on, nor take care of my most pressing issue (electrical box).

Again, Mike and his son are good folks and you can see other Yelp reviews praise them.

However, paying 325 dollars to basically ONLY get my hallway lights fixed (he thinks he got more things fixed) AND make me late to my lunch appointment .....results in a bad rating.

I called him to explain my displeasure and opened the door for him to rectify the situation and perhaps come by and work on some of the issues he didn't get to, but he did not pursue that and for that reason, Mike gets 1 star instead of 2 stars.

I found these guys on Yelp so I wanted to pass along the favor. Mike and his team hung an entire house worth of fixtures for a price that surprised me (about 60% of what I paid at my last house).

There were all number of issues and his team was both skilled and inventive in finding ways to work around every problem we ran into. Not only were they professional and reasonable, they were courteous and helpful and made what could have been a nightmare into a pleasant experience.

These guys deserve six stars and I'm planning on using them again in the very near future.

I recently had a pipe burst which flooded my electrical box. Mike came out on Sunday and sourced some specific breakers and had me back up and running in no time. I don't have a clue as to what the work should cost so he easily could have burned me, but my insurancer fully reimbursed me and assured me it was market rate. Fast, friendly service from a crew trustworthy enough to allow into your home, and reasonable prices to boot - what more can you ask for?

Many thanks to Bryco Electric and Mike Gagnon for coming out late at night to assess the damage done when a tree limb fell and hit our service line. He advised us to disconnect breakers to protect our electronics, appliances and AC then returned the next morning to repair the damage. Thanks for a job well done.

I called Bryco on Thursday as we had tried for a month to get our regular electrician out to replace two ceiling fans. Mike was affable and very willing to help us out. He offered up coming on that Saturday and he was good to his word and VERY reasonable. We were so grateful after trying for weeks to get some help for this small project that was big to us. Most importantly, I felt like he wanted our business and no job was too small. We were so pleased and will absolutely contact him in the future for larger projects. I can't say enough about our first experience with Bryco!

I had a circuit in my kitchen that wasn't working. So, after reading some positive reviews on yelp, I decided to give Bryco a call. To my surprise, they said they could be at my house in an hour. Once they got there, it took them about an hour to fix it. So, a little over 2 hours after I called, the problem was solved, and it wasn't even an emergency.

I cannot offer enough praise for Bryco Electric and Mike Gagnon. The electrical system in our house was badly damaged in the recent storms we had in Atlanta. I called Bryco Electric on Friday morning and they came out immediately. From my introduction to Mike, the owner of Bryco Electric, I felt immediately at ease. I worked in the residential construction industry throughout high school and college and now do a lot of construction related work in my legal career, so I know first hand the problems that can occur with bad contractors, and it was clear immediately that we were not going to have any such problems with Bryco Electric. Mike and his assistant immediately got to work diagnosing the problems we were having. Unlike other contractors I have dealt with in the past, Mike walked us through every issue, showed us visuals of the problems either directly or through photos he would take in tight spaces, and explained to us how systems worked and why the repair he suggested was necessary. It was clear from my first interaction that Mike's goal was simply to fix the problems, leave the electrical system better than he found it, and have us be comfortable with him and his team.

Because the damage to our electrical system was extensive, the job took several days to complete. However, Mike and his team showed up every day when they said they would, worked diligently to get the job done, and kept in constant communication with my wife and I via phone and text message. Usually at least once a day I would send a text to Mike with some other issue we had discovered the night before and his answer was always ""We will take care of it."" His attitude and work ethic were awesome.

I am somewhat of a security fiend and usually do not permit contractors in my home when I am not there. However, we were so comfortable with Mike and his team that from day one we gave them a key to our home and never thought twice about it. Being able to work and keep my normal schedule without having to be at home to supervise a work crew was priceless to me. At the end of every day, the house was left clean and secure when we arrived home. To top it off, Mike even let our dogs out to play in the back yard when they wanted out. It's a simple thing but indicative of the fact that he cares about his customers.

After the conclusion of the major scope of work, Mike did not just send an invoice and consider the job complete. Mike came back out to our house after work hours to go through all of the work he had done. He walked my wife and I through each phase of his work and it was obvious he takes a lot of pride in his craftsmanship. We literally went room by room and system by system through his work so that he was sure we were pleased with everything he had done for us. Additionally, Mike was always willing to provide us recommendations of other craftsmen and contractors who we need to hire for work outside of his expertise.

All in all, our experience with Bryco Electric and Mike Gagnon was excellent and Bryco Electric is an absolutely fantastic electrician to use in the Atlanta area. I have absolutely no reservations with giving Mike and Bryco Electric an endorsement and my highest recommendations.

As far as cost goes, electrical work is never going to be cheap. However, I thought that Bryco Electric was exceptionally competitive on price. Mike knew that we had made an insurance claim and he could have used that to his advantage to gauge us. However, when I saw Mike's estimate of costs my first thought, which I said to him, was ""Wow, that's a lot less than I expected."" Our insurance company gladly signed off on his estimate and never gave us a bit of trouble with it, for whatever that is worth.

As a homeowner, there is nothing you want more than to trust the people who are working on what is for most of us the most valuable asset we have. The highest praise I can give Mike and Bryco Electric is that while this work was ongoing, I never gave a second thought to whether the work was being done correctly or whether I should have left contractors in my home unattended. In today's world it is a fantastic experience to have a company around like Bryco Electric who takes pride in their work, delivers as promised, and makes a difficult and challenging situation easy to deal with.

I unequivocally recommend Bryco Electric and will use them in the future anytime I have electrical work to be done.

GREAT electrician. Very trusted.. Mike tells you what's wrong, he doesn't BS around. He just gets the job done. He had a nice guy with him, too. If you want an honest, fast, and reliable electrician, this is the company to call. :)
