UPDATE as of 03/05/2024 PLEASE READ, DO NOT HIRE KENNETH LIPPARD, BUYER BEWARE, DO YOUR HOMEWORK. Mr. Lippard still has not returned our money that we paid him back on September 13, 2023 after promising on multiple occasions to provide a refund to us. So essentially, he has stolen from us. Thus, after several months of attempting to collect from him and his refusal to do so and ignoring our calls and texts, we sued him in small claims court, in Denton County Justice Court, Precinct No. 4. You can locate the judgment in our favor, awarding us $1,832.95, which was ordered on February 26, 2024 by searching in Denton County on Kenneth Lee Lippard, Case No. C23-2268J4. He has several other judgments against him by the way.

We try and support small, local businesses, but he has definitely caused us to do our homework when considering hiring anyone, and to do our research before handing anyone our hard-earned money. We are disappointed in ourselves for trusting him and his word. Unfortunately, our realtor fell for him as well and had referred him to us, but she has spread the word as well to all of her clients that he cannot be trusted and to stay away. Mr. Lippard's dishonestly is absolutely shameful. Mr. Lippard claims in his response to our original review we canceled the night before (untrue, as he did not show up as scheduled and was nowhere to be found for weeks, and we now have court documents to establish this as well as a judgment in our favor) and then claimed we texted him the next day we wanted to proceed (we did attempt to arrange an alternative date for installation to give him another chance and yet he failed once again to contact us on multiple occasions) and then we demanded a refund via cash only (yes, we paid him in cash and requested he refund the money he received from us in good faith, whether credit card, cash, check, or payments, we were and are willing to work with him, and he is well aware that he owes us money). Ask yourself - if you are still considering hiring this man - why would we go through the trouble and time consuming effort to sue him??

Several texts not returned. Didn't keep promises to show up and complete the work. I had to chase him for weeks before finally giving up and hiring someone else. Wasted 3 weeks of my time. Do not recommend.

We made an appointment for a work estimate and he canceled twice due to ""other things"" that came up. Once he came out, He agreed in August to install safety bars in a color to match our fixtures in the bathroom and to install a new light in our study closet and to do so within a week. I will just report that he was often a no show, did not return calls. texts, or emails when there were concerns, did not get the proper color as promised. It took him almost 2 months to get just the bars installed, which we reluctantly agreed to have done in the wrong color, with his promise to later switch out when he got the right color in. He put them in but left a mess.Several weeks later, after no answer to multiple calls etc,
I left a negative review & he finally replied to say he couldn't get the right color, so could we just settle for what we had paid? I agreed, although I strongly suspect that he never tried to get the right color & opted for the cheaper chrome.I just find it hard to believe that he couldn't find oil rubbed bronze as that is a common color. I told him to forget about the study light. It was a frustrating experience because my husband was scheduled for heart surgery and I had needed the safety bars installed before the surgery. As it turned out, he didn't get it done until my husband was in the hospital, & said he had put a ""rush"" on it. I would not recommend him for anything as we found him to be unreliable, full of excuses, and unprofessional.

I wanted to add some things to the living room so that i could make it feel more like home. But with limited space and not alot of money to spend i really didnt know what to do. So i went on google and ran into this Company Bruin Build Handyman. It caught my attention because of the pictures of the gaming centers that they built being that i am a game freak lol. But i also didnt want to go to crazy with the gaming stuff either. I wanted my living room to be netflix and chill friendly you know for movie night. And i wanted the gaming center to be work friendly as well being that i am working remotely at the moment. So i got in touch with Keith and explained to him what i wanted and he totally understood where i was trying to go with it. So for a very fair price he came over and turned my ideas into reality. He mounted my TV and surround sound speakers and he sat there and made sure none of the wires were showing. And he also added some LED lighting behind the tvs as well. That really got me. That was all his idea. He also assembled the ikea desk and chairs. He added less to computer set up so that i would still have a work area without really having to move or touch anything. He also took his time and hid all the wires in that area as well. The media server was tied to the TV also. Keith is the best. If you are looking for anyone to build you a gaming center or have any ideas that you are not sure about just give Keith with Bruin Builds a call. He will bring those thoughts right out your mind and put them into reality. And like my situation he will take them to another level. I love it!

Kenneth replaced our front door and installed a fan in our back porch. He made suggestions and looked for solutions to our projects to save us money. He communicated well throughout the projects and his cost was very competitive. Kenneth is a very outgoing and personable person. I highly recommend him and will be calling him again for future projects.
