Brooks Technical Electrical was founded in 2001 amid an energy crisis. We started by installing solar electric systems on both homes and businesses. As we grew, we branched out into additional technical fields within electrical contracting.

Ron Brooks, the owner, served in the Navy as an Electronics Technician on a destroyer. After leaving the Navy, he went back to school and received a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from UCSD. Driven by a desire to help others and earn a living, he discovered his passion for electrical contracting. In 2005, Ron re-enlisted in the Army Reserve, completing Warrant Officer Candidate School and the Warrant Officer Basic Course in Information Technology. He completed two deployments, one to Kuwait and another to Afghanistan. After coming back from Afghanistan in December 2011, he worked on re-establishing his electrical contracting business.
