Our vacation condo was built in the early 1970'S... and it looked pretty dated. It had the pressed board cupboards, chipped Formica kitchen counters, linoleum kitchen floors, teal coffee stained carpet, southwest pastel chevron wallpaper...are you getting the picture?!!

The front patio's concrete was crumbling and pitted due to lime corroding it through the years. The bathrooms were just as sad. Leaky faucets, eroded enamel sinks. A shower bath tub we paid so many plumbers to stop the drips...but it always seemed to drip again.

Finally it was renovation time!

Enter Briones Electric to the rescue!! They do soooooo much more than just electrical. However we did need to upgrade our electrical because if I plugged in my flat iron or blow dryer into the master bedroom bathroom it would blow a fuse! Ugh!

The founder/owner Pedro has a great reputation. Brirones did the work on two of our friend's condos. We'd seen their work and our friends were really satisfied. Our condo would basically be a complete renovation: new kitchen, new bathrooms, flooring inside, outside tiling to our front and back patios. New lighting and 3 ceiling fans were installed. Painting the entire condo was also done and replacement of hardware on doors and switch plates.

I like that it is family owned and operated. His crew consists of his brothers and sons. Briones is reliable, reasonable, and trustworthy.

Did everything go perfectly? No, hellooooo it's construction! When he pulled up the carpeting... there were cracks in the foundation. When Home Depot measured for our cabinets they messed up so badly...it took us 3 months to get it right. Finally Home Depot resorted to contracting with Briones to fix most of the issues. We did have issues with the ceiling fan and a leaky faucet and some minor other things. We called Briones and they were ALWAYS kind and courteous and worked with us time wise to fix the issues.

Usually with contractors, once they get your money...bye bye. Not these guys. Briones stand by their work.
