Jonathan and Savannah were excellent. Fast, efficient and were priced extremely fairly. Most other electricians I asked wanted to play 20 questions and still come for a in person inspection to install some extra outlets, but Jonathan just asked a couple important and relevant ones before scheduling me for the following day for the job. He arrived with Savannah and they did a great job. Definitely going to have them come back to wire the house for a backup generator.

I couldn't be more pleased with our interactions with Brightside. Prompt scheduling, they did a great job fixing our outlets and installing a dimmer switch, they were super nice, and even insisted on doing some cleanup after which I was more than happy to do myself. Very reasonable charge for the work and I will definitely reach out to them with any future electrical needs.

Jon is honest and responsive. A lot of the electricians I contacted seemed intimidated or hesitant to take on our electrical remodel. They weren't prepared for the walkthrough, didn't take notes, and never got back to me or just padded their quote to the sky to make up for their lack of good estimation and cover their misses.

Jon promptly came on site and walked through the proposal and asked appropriate questions. He got back to me with a very detailed quote at a competitive price within 24 hours.

After the project, his invoice was equally detailed and accurate.

He's going to be able to deal with your electrical work; but the things above set him apart from the vast majority of electricians you'll encounter in the Austin area--and contractors in general. Particularly if you have a big job, these aspects of the job are much more important than most homeowners realize. Don't underestimate them, go with Brightside.

I used Brightside Electrical for three jobs over the last couple of months and they did incredible work on all three. The first was installing dimmable can lights into our ceiling (6 of them). The second was installing our Ring security system (3 outdoor cameras). The third was installing a new chandelier while also adding dimmer switches to that plus the lights in our kitchen. They came on-time, performed the services as quickly as you would expect, and were very friendly. If I had any questions or concerns, they went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied with their job. Their quoted prices before they performed any service was exactly what I was charged afterwards. I highly recommend them. As you can tell - through three different services - I will definitely use them again. Can't thank them enough!

I had an outlet burn up in my kitchen and had 3 different electricians either not show up or send me outrageous quotes. I contacted Brightside through their website and they responded promptly with a quote that seemed appropriate.
2 guys came out and they were ridiculously fast and thorough! My house was a hot ass mess from Christmas projects and cooking experiments from that week (like I would've NEVER had anybody over looking the way it was) and they didn't even bat an eye having to move crumbs and dishes off the countertops and whatnot. I was asking them a million questions because I had installed a bunch of lights myself and they never replied in a condescending tone or made me feel bad for not hiring a pro. This is really rare and as a female- it's what prompted me to write this review. I own a business and have had to deal with a lot of electricians, plumbers, contractors etc over the years and so many times they treat me like I have no idea what I'm doing or talking about and shame me for attempting to fix anything myself. These guys were the opposite, they explained what caused the outlet to burn (I did not install it, btw haha) and went into great depth explaining all the possible scenarios while troubleshooting the entire picture vs that one outlet. Including my appliances. The entire time they were explaining, they were also working so fast. They did stuff to all the outlets in my kitchen, checked a few in other areas to make sure the problem was only in the kitchen and added a gfci plug in my kitchen... in roughly 30 minutes!! They also suggested an inexpensive device I could buy myself at Lowe's for future projects and to check every outlet in my house. They offered to do it for me but my house is like a construction/project zone and I wanted to get everything put away to be able to get to all the outlets. I bought the device and checked them all myself afterwards and now I'm sleeping soundly knowing the problem was contained in the kitchen.

Additionally- they showed up wearing masks and didn't try to take them off or fiddle with them the entire time. I was really grateful for that.

I'll feel so excited to finally have an electrician I can depend on for future projects at home and my business. Especially a team of them who seem to really care and aren't lallygagging around in an attempt to charge you the most money.
