Would give 10 stars if I could! Needed an EV charger installed in my garage, submitted request at 430p Thursday and entire job was completed by Friday 11am. Straightforward pricing, clean work, easy to pay with credit card. Justin - you were a real pleasure to have in my house and hope to have another reason in the future to work with you!!!

Terrible Customer Service:

We had a major electrical outage in our garage and needed a highly rated electrician to repair the electrical connection to the garage. Our mistake was contacting Justin from Brightside Electric.

On Tuesday October 25, 2022, we called Justin based on the referral of a friend of his. He gave us a quote (including travel from Willis to Houston) and promised to schedule the job when he got back to his office. He did not.

Justin did not answer repeated texts to set up the appoinment date. Finally four days later, he responded that he would be here on Wednesday, November 2nd. We asked that he contact us when he was on his way. He did not show up and has not followed up with us EIGHT days later.

If Brightside Electric cannot be professional and courteous with customer promises and follow-through, we wonder about the quality of his work and customer service after the work is completed. Justin agreed to do the job and did not follow through on his commitment.

I went through Yelp to have an estimate done for some electrical updates. A date for the repair work was confirmed, however I was told by the owner it needed to be changed because he was not available. After that, we rescheduled for the following day. I waited three hours and nobody ever showed. The owner said he was unable to contact his employee, and that he himself would be doing the work on the third appointment.

The trend continued as on the day of the third appointment he again didn't show to do the work. This was three missed appointments in less than a week. Completely unreliable and disappointing considering the positive reviews posted. Not recommended due to poor reliability.

So grateful for the wonderful work that Justin completed. He was very professional, efficient, prompt and communicated very well. His prices were so great and straightforward. I will be recommending him to anyone that ever asks me for an electrician. I look forward to working with him again in the future when I need other electrical work in my very outdated home.

Given the current environment -- covid, supply chain, worker shortage, etc. -- I'd say that they responded pretty quickly and they seem quite reliable. They came out when they said they would, we reviewed the work and materials, located positions for outlets, etc., and within a day or three had me a written quote. The quoted price was reasonable (especially compared to another quote I got which was 75% more!), and the entire experience was very professional.

They start work in 2 days.

I first contacted Justin through Yelp. He responded quickly and came out to review the work I needed and provided an estimate. After having several other contractors provide bids, I decided to go with Justin not just because of the price but because he is extremely personable and listened to what I wanted. I scheduled the work and Justin and Mike arrived and got right to work. At the end of the day there were still a few items on my list to be completed. After telling Justin my work schedule and that I would not be available to complete the job for another week, He and Mike stayed late to finish the job the same day. Great customer service and greatly appreciate the work Justin and Mike did installing many lights, plugs, and switches. I will be contacting them in the near future for additional lights in our house.
