Todd was polite and very fair. My lighting wasnt wprking in the bathroom and the garage and it ended up being a very small issue. He charged me less than his assistant estimated.

I would highly recommend BRIGHT IDEA ELECTRIC Todd replaced all of the old undercabinet lighting with new LED lights . He also replaced several electrical outlet that were old and loose. He did a wonderful job, and cleaned up everything. I will definitely call them again.

My bathroom outlets stopped working. On the phone, Todd the owner of Bright Idea walked me through resetting a switch on an outlet in my garage. I found the outlet with his help and after I reset the button on the outlet my bathroom outlets were working again. He was so helpful and said if he came out it would be a $150,00 service fee but he said it sounded like an easy fix. He felt sure he could save me that by helping me over the phone. Thank you so much. Glad to see there are still nice honest people in this world. If I ever do need an electrician Todd will be the 1st person I call.

Karina scheduled the appt. Todd was on time and diagnosed the problem within 5 minutes. He was friendly and showed me the melting wire that was causing outage to an outlet. Bright Idea was priced fairly and I'm so glad they solved problem so quickly - would use them again!!!

Was politely & promptly responded to over Yelp by Karina. I explained the work to be done and provided a photo or two & they very reasonably quoted me for the work. A short phone call later and I was scheduled.

Todd and his crew showed up ready to work. I could tell the work ended up being a bit more involved than they likely anticipated, yet they stayed at their quoted price even when I inquired if it was enough.

Give them your business and keep honest companies like these folks around. They do quality work (that they will show you and explain) and are amongst the honest ones still out there.

Tip them for their hard work if you feel it's warranted -- but at the very least...let them know you appreciate their work! :)

Owner Todd is a professional. Timely, good listener, and gets the job done! Prices are good too! He's been quite patient at my mom's Laguna Niguel home and has corrected her billion lights!

Disappointed. Called Bright Idea Electric after the power in one of our rooms went out. Todd arrived promptly and got to work. Heard him blurting profanities upstairs so I asked him what was wrong. He explained that the wiring layout was something he wasn't used to while repeating that he wasn't incompetent. At the end of the day he said he was unable to trace the wires and would need to come back another day with the help of an assistant. The next day they finished within an hour of arriving, but failed to clean up after themselves. Also lost a screw to a light switch panel and failed to mention and replace it. In the end the cost was almost double of what was quoted at first.

I was looking for an electrician and Bright Idea came up in my search. Todd call me immediately, asked what needed and had his assistant Karina schedule an appointment the same day! Todd was on time, consultative (switching halogen to LED) and guided us through a few electrical issues (outside landscape lighting as well). He replaced canned lights in my kitchen, switches for my kitchen and stairwell and helped out with our landscape lighting. I would recommend Todd and Bright Idea to anyone looking for an electrician.
