I don't even know where to start with this guy'. He was rude on the phone. First call. He showed up and I had to ask him to put a mask on. Still rude. I have an older home with knob & tube wiring. I wanted to re wire and have new wires installed. He paid no attention and wandered around the house with his meter and shaking his head saying "" you have a problem here"". Duh, that's why we called an electrician. I showed him where the fuse box was and told him which one was tripping. I told him I had tried two fuses with the same results. Guess what he screwed a fuse in and it blew. He kept talking to himself and was obviously puzzled. At one point he even told me "" you hired the right guy. I'm the best trouble shooter in the Bay Area"". I finally asked him what it would cost to re wire the circuit I was having trouble with. His reply was "" you don't have enough money in the bank to pay for that"". Rather than keep rambling about this the best was yet to come. He charged me $250.00 to tell me he couldn't fix it. What a waste of time and money. This guy needs to retire and stay away from people.

Brennan, is no joke..I had 4 electrical contractors come out to my home for a panel upgrade..All 4 tried to sell me on some bull shiiid..They all informed me. That I may want to think about going from 100 to 200 on a upgrade..Being that my home is almost 2800 square ft..I seriously thought about and decided to get 1 more quote..I called Brennan and he came from Hayward to Foster City to see the problem.. Brennan, informed me..That all was needed was more circuit breakers to support the existing power..$650 dollars later.. The work was done and my problem was solved..I saved myself $5400, on simply making that 5th call..

Bill Brennan replaced our electrical box and did some other tidying up of electrical around our house and did a great job. He pulled all the necessary permits and was careful to do the work properly and with craftsmanship. He may have a bit of a gruff demeanor, but if you want high quality craftsmanship at a fair price then Bill Brennan's your guy.

Bill Brennan Electric is rude and untrustworthy. Upon calling them the lady who answered the phone stated that for the service fee of 300.00 the electrician finds and fixes the issue 95% of the time. Bill the owner came out before Thanksgiving and did some basic troubleshooting and then stated that he would have to open up the walls to find my electrical issues. I had a couple of outlets that weren't working in 2 rooms. He stated that he works with insurance companies and he is a General contractor also and he could do all the work. I did not feel comfortable about this and his assessment of the issue. He stated it would cost me 1500.00 for him to do the work and he would ""wait"" while I make the call to my insurance company. I told him ""no"". I then asked him how much I owed him and he said 300.00 to which I was surprised because he was at my home for a total of 30 minutes and he NEVER FIXED MY ELECTRICAL ISSUE. I paid him to get him out of my house because he was rude this whole time. The next day I found another person to come check out the electrical issue and he found it and FIXED it within 1 Hour. I paid him 200 dollars. The issue was a burnt wire cap in a switch gang box. I should have checked the Brennan Electrical reviews on YELP because he is rated at 2 Star and has many negative feedback from paying customers who are dissatisfied as I AM!
UPdate: Called Bill and he was verbally combative and defensive as I told him what had happened with the other person I called who had found the issue and FIXED it. He made excuses about who I hired and told me to jump through hoops to get a to get any type of refund. He wanted a written invoice from the person I hired who fixed the issue, which was hypocritical since Brennan Electrical never provided me with a written invoice either when he took my 300.00. BEWARE of BILL BRENNAN ELECTRIC!

This guy seriously should not be in business. My neighbor hired him to wire their new hot tub. He had to park on my property to do so. I asked him to put his dog in his vehicle so I can move my client's dogs to and from my car safely (I'm a dog trainer and these dogs are working on reactivity issues) and he point blank said that my ""clients dogs are shit"". What's the point in being rude to someone you don't even know when they're trying to ensure the safety of your dog? I don't care how well-trained YOUR dog is. Safety is my number one priority for my clients. And when I expressed my concerns and offense to him, he said I could bite him. So here's hoping that this will bite him in the ass. Don't do business with these guys.

I wasn't happy with this guys services. Overcharged me for fixing a light switch and installing new lights. Replaced circuit breaker box and didn't do a good job. Did not label circuits breakers. Left a mess for me to clean up. All he could talk about was paying for his daughters wedding. The job needed permits which he never mentioned. I would not recommend him to anyone for his service.

The first time I contacted Bill was when I needed an outlet for an electric stove in a rental. This was extremely time sensitive and Bill was very accommodating in coming out on a Sunday morning and getting it done for a very reasonable price.

The second time was when I need a new circuit put in in the same rental while in between switching renters. Once again Bill was very accommodating in working with my schedule and took care of the issue along with some other work for a reasonable price.

Overall have had very good experience with Bill and would strongly recommend him.

Talked to Bill over the phone for a quote and he was extraordinarily rude. Wanted to have outlets put in for nest security cameras and thought that piggy backing off the existing Xmas light outlets or running new outlets in the attic would be two routes I'd be ok going with. He cut me off every time I tried to explain how the existing wiring was done asked a few questions about the attic setup and then said ""Nah I don't want to do the job"" and just about hung up on me. The entire phone call lasted about 3 minutes. Thanks Bill, you did me a favor. Anyone that talks to potential customers like that will undoubtedly do an awful job if you're ""lucky"" enough for him to accept it. And after reading his other reviews, I see this is largely the case. Must be why he's trolling for work on Craigslist.

He charged us $150 and he didn't even fix anything. He literally spent 5 minutes at our home.
Bill was the first to respond to my request on house advisor. He was rude on the phone but decided that maybe in person he would be a little nicer.
He came to our home he was rude off the bat. We explained to him that we needed a light switch fixed and some flood lights installed. He quoted $150 for the light switch and $600 for 2 flood lights.

He tried to fix the light switch but caused the other switch in our house to stop working and then argued that there was no way that what we were saying could be correct. He had to undo the work he did so we could prove that we were right. his bedside manner was awful.

Bill Brennan who owns and runs Brennan Electric is the man we run to for our ""Help Our home is falling apart"" moment. He is the master of all trades when it comes to fixing and re-building a home. He helped us re-wire our backyard lights that had burned out. Did a great Job. Thanks Bill.
