Update April 2024: Edgar came to see the issue and replaced 2 breakers. While the issue persists it appears to be rooted somewhere else. He also sent me an invoice for diagnosis. I appreciate his getting back to us.


I have had power outage issues a number of times ever since they did the work. They keep blaming it in my ""old wiring"". I hold a PhD in electrical engineering and feel not only offended by wrong logic/information they provide but also by their terrible service. Stay way. They do not even answer my question and gentle request to come and see what the source of issue might be.

I hired Brains Automation to install over 20 patio path lights, 3 spotlights and several outlets. They also installed some backlit address numbers. Overall, working with Edgar and his team was a pleasure. They worked hard and were always prompt, communicative and very flexible especially as our needs changed. It always feels good to support local businesses, but it's especially rewarding to support ones that are just getting started. When I went on Yelp looking for an electrician, Estiben and Brains Automation Homes didn't even have any reviews yet! It's always a little risky to go with a business with no reviews, but something told me Estiben knew what he was doing, and I can definitely say I made a good choice in selecting him for my home project.

I had been wanting to replace the old and ugly outlets and switches in my home, and decided to get a few quotes just to see what I would be getting myself into. Brains Automation Homes offered a competitive estimate and got the job done exactly as I had requested and quickly (I was able to schedule an appointment the same week I started looking for an electrician). It turns out Estiben is a one-man show breaking out on his own and trying to build up his business (hence, not many reviews). He's licensed, competent, and friendly. He knew exactly what I was talking about when I mentioned I might want to replace an outlet with one that had USB ports. As the business name indicates, Brains Automation Homes has experience with hooking up smart homes, so you know Estiben is knowledgeable about some of the latest tech.

For my project, Estiben arrived on time, was very polite, got the job done well, and cleaned up after himself. In all, he replaced two regular outlets, two outlet-switch combinations with GFCI, two double light switches, two single light switches, and a three-switch contraption in the bathroom that connects to the light, the fan, and a heater. The bathroom switch was a late add-on (I thought it might be too complicated), but Estiben had all the necessary parts, so he was able to take care of it then and there.

I have a few more electrical projects in mind, and I won't hesitate to contact Brains Automation Homes when the time comes.

I was afraid of hiring a new company to take care of the new electrical smart system during my house renovation but I can't be happier, the work that brains automation home have been done is simply impeccable, Estiben took care of all the details including those places where our eyes cant reach, everything works perfectly and it looks as I was expecting, now I'm sure I made the best choose on hiring them, I definitely will call them again in my futures projects.
