Bonney really does a great job. They are always professional, thorough and their employees are always pleasant and knowledgeable. Joey came out and did a system check on our HVAC unit... gave us really helpful feedback on the age/condition of our unit so that we could make an informed decision on whether to repair/replace our unit. He even took pics of the interior fan to give us a better idea of what was going on with it. Very helpful! If I had a suggestion, however - it would be that it's really hard to schedule an appt. with a 4 hour window of when they might show up. I wish they would give a shorter window of time since I work and it's really hard to be there waiting for someone to come for that long a time. Overall though, we're very happy with the service at Bonney and we've had them out for both HVAC and plumbing issues both.

Had a clogged sink at our rental. Lupe was really great and even let us know that the repairs that we had done by a previous plumber were not needed. Wish we would have called them to begin with!

I tried to get these folks out for a plumbing issue. My only day available for this is Friday, so I made an appt. between 2-5. I got home and there was no message or indication of a call, so I waited. No one came, waisting 3 hours and 25 minutes of my time. The next day, I went out of the house at 12:30 for my usual famers' market visit and brunch in midtown Sacramento. I got back home a little after 2:00. There was a message that a technician was available. He had already come and gone. No prior arrangement or notification from Bonney Plumbing. I HATE having my time waisted and would not call these folks again for any reason. Get a recommendation from your friends who have had good service from plumbers who respect people's time.

Friendly, Fast, same day service. Our water main pipe broke. He was at our house for three hours and dug out the broken pipe that had roots and rock around it. The bill was about $1200! Ridiculous. Would never use again. I called the manager who never returned our call.

My heater went out on a Saturday. I called them and the earliest appointment I could get was the next day, 2-6pm, despite being put on the ""urgent"" list for having an elderly person in the home. Sunday @ 530pm we get a call and they said they had no technicians available, and if they had one become free it would be 7ish to arrive. This is un-acceptable, either they're not telling me the truth or they overbooked customers. Their local competition came the next day and laughed when I told him of my experience. He said, no one is busy this time of year, unless its extreme weather, hot or cold...

I signed up for the BAM plan to have my HVAC unit checked out. All I got were two recommendations, over $1000 to replace my condenser fan motor and to re-seal the gaps in my AC coil for the short term. The other recommendation is to replace the coil and condenser for an outrageous price. I had a friend check out my condenser fan and it's not even close to dying. But since it is a 12 yr old unit, I decided to DIY the recommendation. Replaced the condenser motor, capacitor, opened up my AC coil and cleaned it up, and reseal the AC coil. The DIY parts cost me $230. I'm disappointed at the outrageous quote to replace the unit that is still functional.

Called O'Connell Plumbing in Marin County on a Saturday when my furnace blower motor went out. Bonney Plumbing and Heating showed up on Tuesday exactly as scheduled. No issue for me who is whom - a lot of companies are two or more businesses working together or acquired, etc. so not even a question. My service tech Phillip Vieira was polite, efficient and friendly and made me feel at ease about the situation. He worked quickly and cleanly, diagnosed my problem and spoke to me at length about options, repair vs. replacement, etc. and costs of repair completely explaining every step of how the repair would be done and the exact cost. I didn't feel pressured at all in any direction and made a decision to repair. He went right to work, replaced my blower motor and again was efficient and worked cleanly. Cleaned up completely afterwards, and explained all work and charges. Excellent experience. I left one star off only because of the confusion about the company - while I didn't mind, some people might be put off by that but that's an operational issue. I, in fact, signed up for the BAM plan to get my maintenance from Bonney from here on out. Very satisfied.

You're gonna pay a bit more, but what you get is well worth it. When it comes to work I try to live by ""do it once, do it right"", and from what I've experienced so does Bonney Plumbing. Recently, Alex from Bonney performed some work at my home and I could not be happier. I would use Bonney again and recommend that anybody who need a plumber give them a call.

Had a clogged kitchen sink pipe. Guy came out to fix it (supposed to be here between 1-am and 1pm, shows up at 1:30pm). Estimate is $158 to snake the drain. I have no problem with that since most stories I have read are over $200. Then the guy says that he will need to charge me another $211 for ""difficult access charge"". When I asked what this meant, he says since I have light color carpet, and my kitchen is on the second floor of my house, that he needs to lay down plastic (except he is out of plastic and will lay down paper) so my carpet is not ruined by the wheels of the snake machine. He wouldn't carry the machine (size of a vacuum), and wouldn't let me carry it. I finally had to sign a waiver saying I'll take the risk, and he waived the $211. I laid down 3 blankets from my front door to my kitchen I had in the garage. Guess what? The wheels of his machine weren't dirty and the blankets didn't get a spec of dirt on them. What a freaking ripoff this company is....go with a small mom and pop shop. Never again. Then the guy says his work isn't guaranteed. If it clogs tomorrow, they will charge me the same charge 100% of the price.

I called Bonney Plumbing earlier in the week and requested a ""first appointment"" time slot because I have before and after school carpool with two different schools. I was willing to wait a few days for this and did. This morning I woke my children up extra early (5am) to ensure that they get to school early, so that I could get home in time for the 8:30am -9:00 am appointment ... and then I waited, and waited. I called at 9:40am to discover that the technician was ""running late"" and would be at my home in ""approximately 30 minutes"" .... so, hmmmm, wondering how they would be running 1.5 hours late for a ""first appointment""? Knowing the work I most likely need, I need it complete before I leave to pick up carpool .... starting around 11am, most likely isn't going to work for me. I canceled the appointment and will look for a company that is more attentive to their customer service.
