Well this is a mixed review. Boltar does NOT accept credit cards. Cash /check only. I wished that was somewhere in his ads or he might have stated that on the phone straight away. The work was done properly and up to code. There was a snafu with PG&E which I thought Mike had taken care of. Regardless our power was turned off for 5 day. Not Mike's fault but he made me feel certain it wasn't going to be turned off and it was. PG&E sucks!!! Again he really needs to be clear that he is a cash business. Most of us working folk rely on credit to get us through these crisis!

Very pleased to have found Mike from Boltar Electric through recommendations on NextDoor.com. Installing a new fridge, we discovered the outlet was 2 pronged and ungrounded. Sounded like a fairly simple fix. But another recommended electrician came by and we ended up a little scared, with a work estimate over $7,000. Surprising since we've had other electricians here who didn't seem concerned. I called Mike for a 2nd opinion. He spotted several red flags in what I had been told and came by today to see our situation. He walked and talked us through everything the other electrician had said and more, explaining why our 1937 home might be safer just leaving things as they are. Hard to think I'm leaving an excellent review for someone who did no actual work. But Mike's honesty and integrity made it seem appropriate.
