Jason and Wilfredo came to my home to move an electrical box. After getting into the walls further, it was determined that the entire home needed to be rewired. Although this was not the news we were hoping for, I could not have asked for better men to do the job. They treated my home as if it was their own, and took the time to explain to me everything that they were doing along the way. It was a big undertaking, but they worked through it to make sure my home was safe and wired properly, even arranging for a county inspector to come in. I would highly recommend this company for their trustworthy, hardworking, and friendly staff.

Mike came right on time and worked fast. He explained all of the changes to me so I knew what he was doing. He replaced a light switch with a timer and then checked a gfci switch I installed to make sure I didn't burn the house down.

NEVER AGAIN!!!! If you are looking for a company who charges an outrageous price for simply coming to your house, and fixes NOTHING, hire this company. I hired them to fix a motion sensor light in ny driveway. They have been out 4 times and it is still not repaired. They (the owner/manager) to me it was the sensor, so I purchased a new sensor for them to install... Guess what, the light STILL does not work correctly. Worse group of knowledgeable electricians I have ever known.

Overpriced and did not finish the job. Charged a ""diagnosis fee"" of $300 and did not fix anything. Quoted an additional charge of $300 to come back and actually fix the issue. Not feeling right about the quote I called in another electrician who fixed the problem in 15 minutes. The issue was something entirely different than what Bolt Electric said it was so not only do I feel completely ripped off for the diagnosis fee with no fix I am also feeling they are a very, very dishonest company.

Beware of Bolt Electric. Purchased a $109 electrical service package from Angie's List. Technician came and before he began on a 30-45 minute job replacing a simple fluorescent light fixture quoted me that it would cost me an additional $44.00 for some bs charge. Finally I got so pissed, that I had to tell him to gtf out of my house. Talked to the owner of the company later and he told me that I shouldn't be cursing at his employee. I then asked a friend here from Canada on vacation that is retired as an electrician from Canadian Brodcasting Company, and he replaced by defective fixture in 30 minutes. These people have no shame or care about their reputation. Avoid them at all cost.

I have used bolt electric several times in the past, and their technicians did an ok job. After the last work they did for us, we were gone for several months and returned to find an issue that we thought was connected to it the work they had completed. The lights in our garage were not working, and I had tried several different bulbs that worked in other areas of the house, in those light sockets. So, we decided to have them come back out and take a look. This was after paying them thousands of dollars in the past for previous work.
When they came out, it was determined that all the bulbs I had tried were bad, even though they worked in a different light socket before I tried them in our garage. Maybe I had a bad batch of bulbs, or whatever happened, all the garage lights were working with different bulbs that we used when the technician came. Great! It was just bad bulbs. Now after being a little embarrassed that was all it was (who needs an electrician for changing a bulb, i'm a handy guy, i've replace every light and ceiling fan in our home). Thinking I would have to pay a little something for them driving all the way here, I waited to see the amount. Tech tell me it will be $59!!!!! For 2 minutes of time (it seriously took him longer to write up the bill then to change the bulbs). Now if I had not previously given them quite a bit of work in the past, I would not have questioned this as much. BUT, I was a several times repeat customer. You'd think they would value their repeat customers enough not to charge $59 to change a bulb. THEY DO NOT VALUE THIER CUSTOMERS!!! I called the office, and the person I spoke with was understanding and attempted to ""do something"" for me, but was told she could not, and yes, $59 would be the charge.
If you don't need any type of customer service and don't mind paying more than other electricians, use them. Their work was satisfactory. If you value customer service and fair pricing, DO NOT USE THEM.

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! Their service man told us we needed to run a complete new line from the box, snaked through the house to the location of our light. We approved a large $500 price tag because the job would take half a day. When the electrician opened the box, he saw it was just a loose screw and tightened it in 30 seconds. Then charged $500. When we called the manager, he said they quote ""by the job"" and if it was just a loose screw, that was our problem, not his. COMPLETE CHEATS. DON'T USE THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!

Overpriced RIP OFF - do not use the Groupon for this Company!!!

Last month I purchased a Groupon for Bolt Electric for $45. The Groupon Value is stated as $358. Today I had a Bolt Electrician at my home. I asked him to move an existing ceiling light from one position to another in our home and then to install a new ceiling light where the existing one is currently located. He quoted me $119 to move the existing light and an additional $149 to install the new light. A total of $268 + $14.75 F.F.S. Charge. Subtracting the $100 Groupon, it would be $158 + $14.75 fee.I could not warrant spending that much on two ceiling lights. I agreed to pay the additional $32.75 to have the existing light re-situated.

It took the electrician 10 minutes to move the existing light - that cost me $45 + $32.75 = $77.75. How can Bolt Electric justify this extortionate fee for 10 minutes work??? Apparently, the Groupon also included an electrical inspection. Zero mention was made of that - CAN I HAVE A REFUND PLEASE?????

I'm a single parent on a limited income. You would think that $77.75 would cover the installation of two ceiling lights?? I'm disgusted and will never use this Company again.

DO NOT USE BOLT ELECTRIC and definitely DO NOT BUY a Groupon - A MEGA RIP-OFF!!!
