We hired this company to pull electricity from the street To a building. It started off great and they finished the job quickly. The issue came when they pulled the power to the wrong side of the property! It was partially our fault as we showed them the post where we thought it should have be but at the same time, they have been in communication with JEA and even asked the question where the pole was going to be. JEA replied back with a map of the location of the pole.

We told them that since it was everyone's fault, we are willing to pay the difference should it have done correctly. They said ""no"" as it's not their job to coordinate with JEA and only do what they are instructed by us! I verified with other companies that it is industry standard to do coordination with not only JEA but also, county inspectors. We argued and but they held us hostage because they stopped the job until we agreed to pay for everything and we had no electricity until the job was done.

We ended up paying an extra $2800 for the job to a total of $15k. I gave it 1.5 stars because it was smooth at the beginning; however, I do not recommend this company because they do not take ownership of mistakes!

I hired Bolt Electric to come out and upgrade some outlets in my home following a remodel that was not done well. (Some things still didn't work).
Head electrician came out for the free quote, explained what would probably need to be done and recommended replacing the main breaker box and he showed me proof of why. My old box was a Federal Pacific box that causes fires and my box was additionally wired wrong and illegally by previous owners of my home.
We agreed on a price and he threw in installation of a new timer switch for my pool which had broken but I had not yet installed. His team arrived early in the morning as agreed and started work. The job was finished within budget, no surprises, everything worked and the area was cleaned after the job was complete.

I was moving and needed my house electric repaired for inspection. They gave me a quote came out and replaced the panel. The inspection happened and I failed, I called him to ask them why they never checked the outlets and they told me, the tenant living in the house told them not to. Also, they put a 225 amp panel on a 1200 square-foot house, left a live wire on the roof, and never scheduled a final inspection. To come back and finish the job right, they wanted an additional $1200. The next guy I called did it for 300. Save your money I would bolt on bolt

Poor customer service. I really wanted to like this company because of all the positive reviews I read. I made an appointment for today at 7:30 AM. I received a text message confirmation, advising someone would be at my residence at 7 AM. At 7:45, no one had arrived yet nor called, so I sent a message to the technician and also called the main office. Did not receive a call back. It's now 8 AM and still no show or phone call. Pretty disappointed.

I log into yelp for two reasons: 1) a business has performed so poorly that I have no choice but to make it publicly known OR 2) a business has performed so admirably that I have to yell it from the rooftops.

I compose this review for Bolt electric, for the latter purpose.

I requested that Bolt Electric do the following:
* Install the Sense Energy Monitor
* Replace an exhaust fan in the master bathroom
* Install an additional exhaust fan in the master bathroom
* Install a subpanel
* Install a transfer switch for the generator

All of these items were handled perfectly. I have nothing but good things to say about Bolt, from scheduling to completion.
They even accommodated me when I needed emergency work pertaining to my air conditioner.

Nothing but good things can be said about Bolt. Lucas and Wayne are true ambassadors for the company.

I will ONLY use Bolt in the future.

Lucas showed up on time, was professional, fixed the problem right away, and gave tips on how to avoid issues in the future. The office was also professional, communicated clearly and accurately, which is the main concern when you have electrical issues. I highly recommend Bolt Electric. They seem to care about customers, which is the key to good service.

Wayne along with his supv. Lucas identified the bath room exhaust fan that had a strong burned smell. Lucas presented a reasonable quote to replace the problem exhaust fan and included a 2nd smaller fan in over the toilet. Wayne removed both fans, insured that the exhaust tubes were clear, and completed the job with a concise explanation of the work and asked if the area had been cleaned to my satisfaction. Very impressed with the quality and professionalism!
