Brought the wrong part and wanted to charge us twice to do the job again but the second time they said they do it correctly, really?

Hurricane Ian tore open my exterior electrical panel slightly bending the door and the contents were soaked and starting to rust. I hired Bob's Electric to replace the panel. To eliminate future issues like this I had them put the new panel on the inside of the house. The practice I was told is to put the panel on the inside of the wall in the same location were it previously was outside. Made sense to me since the wires were all right there. However that meant the electric panel would be in a bedroom. We expected this to be a messy job since they would have to open up the plaster wall and drill through the cement wall. To prepare we emptied out the room. Their electrician came without any material to cover the carpeting, so we put down our painting tarp. As could be expected, not everything was caught on the tarp. The electrician had no shop vac to clean up after himself, leaving that mostly to us. I had to rent a shop vac and a carpet cleaner to get the room clean again.

This was only the beginning of the problems. I had them install a whole house surge arrestor with the electrical panel. I supplied the surge arrestor, giving the electrician the box. While Siemens is a well known brand, this electrician was not familiar with it and made no apparent attempt to read the manufacturer's instructions. It is supposed to go on a double 20 amp breaker. He instead connected it into the double 30 amp breaker for my dryer. The device has an alarm and you are supposed to shut off the breaker in order to silence the alarm. I also had some other minor work done while they were here that they wrote up on an additional work order. My bill was over $4000., not a little expense to me. The electrical inspector caught the error with the surge arrestor installation and failed the job. An inspection that the electrician didn't even understand would be occurring. To correct the violation all they needed to do was install another breaker and put the surge protector on it. They implied that they would not make the correction, which was their fault in the first place, unless I paid them an additional $40. Like I was ordering more work. While in the electrical panel the electrician making the correction noticed that a spare breaker was used to close up an opening in the electrical panel. It would have been another violation to leave an opening that someone could have stuck something through and gotten electrocuted. But now since the new breaker took up the space where the spare breaker was located, he decided that he could steal the spare breaker. When I asked for its return, they refused; making up some story that it wasn't a part of the original estimate so I didn't really pay for it, so therefore it was OK for them to take it from my home. Never mind that it was needed to eliminate another violation. This company doesn't give anything away for nothing; another electrician would have just come back and made the correction and been done with it.

Beware of doing business with this company. I would not recommend them to anyone.

I would give this place maybe 2.5 stars. The individual who came was rude. I asked several questions and he seemed irritated and rushed to provide me with answers.

BULLSHIT! He can try and do my job for a change and I'll be more patient to him then he was to me.

This place is a rip off!!!

In the 6 years we have lived in our house we have had numerous electric issues and a number of electricians out to fix them. Travis from Bob's Electric immediately identified our problem and almost as quickly fixed it. So nice to work with someone who is so knowledgeable.

Our electrician showed up ready to go. He spent probably 10 hours installing fans and new lights. No time was wasted and he stayed at it until everything was done to our satisfaction. He made several insightful recommendations when we needed it most. We were interested in installing a generator and again he was very helpful in getting this process started. Good job at a fair price!

I was promised a refund for a job which should have been don in 15 min and took 1 hr due to incompetence of the election that was not certified. Also there charge you for the drive time to your house. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
