Bob Leider Electric is more interested in charging fees than fixing the problem. We has an electrical problem and he charged an astronomical fee as well as not fixing the problem. We had him out and he charged a lot and it broke the The next day.I wasn't there and he charged my elderly mother 47 dollars for a "" visit"" that he didn't fix right in the first place. So he doesn't fix it and charges a fee to come back and flip a switch.In my opinion very shady ""ripping off"" senior citizens. For 500 dollars he could do another fix. He is a bad actor in my opinion steer clear of this guy

Bob is very knowledgeable about his trade and really helped diagnose a problem that two other electricians we unable to figure out. Prompt service and very professional. Thanks Bob!

Bob is very prompt and knows his trade but He is very messy-So be prepared. I used him a few times-He doesn't like taking his shoes off-I had scuff marks on my sink he stood on in my bathroom and a mess on the floor. He was working in my bedroom where my circuit breaker needed repair and he had the dirty cover on my bed pillow along with his tools. I picked it up and placed a plastic bag down for his convenience. He did take off his shoes this time and He cleaned up a LITTLE but I got charged extra for the part. $130 for a zinsco RC38 part costing between $30-$60 online. He let me know he didn't like taking his shoes off-but I care for my grandson and everyone takes their shoes off no problem-workers comply with booties and I provided slip on shoes for him to wear inside. A lot of businesses comply with booties etc. So to be fair Bob would have been given a 5-He knows his trade and worked consistently except for my having to vacuum and clean my bedding where he put his tools. He charges $85 an hour which is fair but make sure the parts charges are not over charged. He is also a very pleasant man and works consistently.

Beware of the bad business practices of Bob Leider Electric

There was electrical problem in our house recently. I called Bob Leider Electric, who put an ad in Costa Serena newsletter.

While he was checking the electric breaker box, he kept talking telling stories after stories, as like he got to 'milk' it until at least an hour, so that he could charge his first initial first hour of $110.

His total invoice was $209.20! What a schock!.
He added to his $110 (less than an hour labor) $99.20 for (2) 'Murray' twin (15Amp/20Amp) circuit breakers..

I checked in Home Depot later on, the same circuit breaker costs $9.48.each, so for both about $20. I understand contractors add additional 'mark-up' on parts, but he marked them up 5 times (500%)! His profit from the parts is $80! That is outrageous!

Wow, I agree with Rosalind. Bob talked for 20 minutes and worked 10 minutes at the most. Instead of telling me the problem which I could have easily done myself, he changed the male plug on my mobile home service cord. After I told him I was a low income senior, he charged me a whopping $275 for 10 minutes work and a part I could have gotten at Home Depot for $15- $20....Beware of this man unless you want to give money away for nothing. How he is still in business is a mystery.

Bob is really a talkative man which in turn ate up 110.00 an hour charge for some work that did not resolve our problem. It was a waste of time and money to even have him come out. Don't waste your time or money.
