I recently had Blue Electric do some work at my home in Berkeley. Rafael was punctual, very nice to deal with, his estimate was fair and his crew was excellent. They finished the job in less time than he had estimated so he lowered his original price by 25%...when does that ever happen?

I highly recommend Blue Electric. I will always use them.

There are a lot of electrical contractors roaming out there without licenses, knowledge of basic building codes, proper tools, sense of punctuality and anything that smacks of professionalism. Moreover, the aforementioned will generally show up unprepared while presenting an estimate ( lucky for you if get one) that verges on both the fantastic and brings a new meaning to extortion. This is not the case with Blue Electric and is the reason I have written the following.

i have had the distinct pleasure of working with Blue Electric on five separate occasions and I would use no no one else. On the the various jobs they did for me, everything was quickly executed, done cleanly, code compliant and both on time and within estimate. it was as close to a perfect world as one can get. All of this boils down to an understanding of consequences mixed with a well honed aesthetic sense that is applied to your needs as well as where you live. Simply, Rafael and his crew of Journeymen Electricians show up in all senses of the term.

What needs to be added is the irony that I slightly hope that something goes crackle and pop which will give me the excuse of working with Blue Electric again while Rafael and I discuss the refinements of track lighting over a cup of tea. Full Disclosure - no, we are not related.

I called Blue Electric, got an estimate for the job and made an appointment. Raphael arrived on time, did the job quickly and efficiently. He was friendly yet professional. If I have any future electrical projects or problems, I know Blue Electric will be the first company I will call.

I'm going along with all the other 5 Star reviews here (I would give them 6 if Yelp allowed!).
Raphael Maldonado gave us the lowest estimate of the 3 we asked for, showed up on time and finished the job (new electric service panel to replace our old Zinsco) in time to provide us power for the evening. The Blue Crew was courteous and respectful of the property, and took the time to answer all our questions. I will have them do any future electrical work on our Albany house. Bravo!

There's no doubt about it. These dudes are the best around. I run a retail store and we were having an ongoing electrical problem which was shutting off the lights to our upstairs showroom. No lights upstairs = less sales. Less sales = an eventual career as the worlds oldest Chippendales dancer and cat food dinners. Yet, I digress.

We needed a repair ASAP. When Raphael came (within 45 minutes of calling him) he showed up on time, assessed the situation and ended up fixing not only the electrical problem that I called about, but also fixed random outlets, changed overhead lights and called PG and E to get us a discount on changing our lighting system to be more energy efficient. After he left he probably delivered a baby, cured the common cold, stopped an active volcano and fashioned horse shoes for a unicorn.

I also heard Raphael may or may not have been instrumental in bringing down a certain dictator whose name rhymes with Mosama Din Zaden. Either way, call these guys. They will hook it up.

I needed an electrician in a hurry. I called Blue Electric and Rafael was really nice over the phone. He let me know what the hourly rate was, and how soon the electrician could be there. The electrician arrived on time (within 2 hours of my call), did a great job installing one outlet and moving another, all at a fair price. I'm very happy with their work.

Raphael and his crew are professional, serious, courteous, and do quality work. There is no drama, and I mean that in the best way possible. Raphael discussed costs very clearly upfront and was very reasonable. The work was completed well and without surprises. All in all, a very peaceful experience. We did the work with a permit and Raphael and his team were unruffled. While the inspector did have him do a little bit of additional work, the inspection went smoothly.

Highly recommend Blue Electric. They do good work at a reasonable price.

Raphael and his crew did an excellent job on our project.

They installed a new electrical panel and outlets for our washer/dryer unit, and installed a couple of other outlets as well.

Raphael responded quickly to my initial call and the work was done in a timely manner. In fact, we had a small issue and he even came by on Christmas Eve morning to check it out! (The issue was minor and they solved it quickly......we had an old panel that none of us knew existed).

He also handled the permit/inspector process with no issues.

Just had a bunch of electric work done on my house by Raphael and his crew. High quality, fast, and affordable work. Was concerned about the number of holes in existing plaster walls that will have to be made to add outlets, lights, and switches, but the guys did everything with practically no visible impact to the walls. Rafael and the crew are great communicators as well. Highly recommended.

If I attempt to extol the virtues of Blue Electric,I am going to run out of superlatives fast because I cannot think of or experienced working with an electrician that solved more complex issues, came up with more creative alternatives while doing equally impeccable and seamless work at sane rates. 20A dedicated circut for out home theater system, grounding for the laundry room , interior lighting for the closets and hanging uptown fixtures for the bedrooms - all done efficiently and quickly. Moreover, Rafael is well wired (excuse the pun) to practical solutions and thinks beyond the obvious. This, of course, is excluding the fact that he is an exceedingly interesting person. I cannot recommend any electrician with any more enthusiasm and confidence than i recommend Blue Electric.
