Blackwood Electric is a great local company and I would highly recommend using them for all your electrical needs. We recently hired them to put can lights throughout our home, as well as some statement pedant lights, a ceiling fan and replace all switches with dimmer switches. They are a local small business, and Travis the owner is extremely knowledgable and experienced. He has a small team who is also knowledgable and great. They were timely, had great communication, good prices and did really clean work. They paid alot of attention to detail, were considerate of our home, and most importantly their work came out beautiful. I would most definitely refer them out and hire them again. I'm trying to imagine something creative, colorful, even pithy, to say about a very prompt and wonderful electrician, but I'm having some mental resistance! Travis and Dillon ignited a whole watt of joy. They diagnosed my ancient fridge's circuit board blowout faster than you can say ""short circuit"" and fixed a miswired outlet without a hitch. Travis did several different electrical projects for us, Ceiling fans, under cabinet kitchen lights, outlet for an above stove microwave, new light switches and covers, etc.
Were there any little problems ? of course there was a little glitch here or there but life ain't perfect folks. We've bought brand new homes and had problems. The one star people need to get over them selves. Maybe they're the problem.

First of all we called for an estimate for our electrical project of installing new 50 Amp
Circuit to power travel trailer and whatever else needed to be done. Travis came gave a very fair estimate which he stood by

Outstanding service. Needed an additional electrical outlet in our garage. Blackwood was quick to provide a fair quote and schedule an appointment just a couple of days later. The job was done quickly, effectively and nicely. When we had a minor tripped wire issue after the fact (may not have been their fault) they quickly came back out/same day and fixed it...no hassle, no charge. Highly recommend.

Don't use this flake. He broke my ceiling fan and my kitchen drawer, wasn't even smart enough to know when he turned power off/on he needed to reset fans.  Tried to get him to come back over after spending $800 with him he no showed, made excuse about his mommy needing something (not medical). I'm all for helping our moms but he did this to me twice, I hope mom's paying the bills.  No ACCOUTABILITY or DEPENDABILITY!  Would have gotten a lot of referrals but have informed North Coast Village to not refer him or ok him for the list. He cost me an additional $200 to fix his poor work. Electrician just laughed and shook his head! Bad mistake, I thought he was going to be good!
