There aren't many service providers who try NOT to send out a technician, but Becky did just that -- and she solved my problem!

I called to schedule an electrician to come out and look at some non-working outlets. Becky, the office manager (?) walked me through troubleshooting a GFCI outlet and blammo, it's fixed.

I called Bill Schell's because we'd used them at our office and had a good experience.

Not only did Becky save us the trouble of a service call and its cost, she assured her technicians will be available for real issues.

And, along the way she helped to educate me about best practice in electrical service. I had thought it was funky that our upstairs and downstairs outlets would be connected, but Becky informed me that electricians will often put all GFCI outlets on one circuit.

Again, great experience -- money and time saved.

This company's work is great but their customer service are equally dreadful! Customers do not come first and appointments are changed with little to no regard for the customers convenience. If the customer does not work within the installers timeframe the customer will be bumped until another day and hopefully they will honor their time given. To add insult to injury, they accept no responsibility

They ended up charging us substantially LESS than the estimate.... I can't recall that ever happening with a contractor before. Work was fine AFAIK, hard to judge as a non-electrician. It was for a small job that turned out to be even smaller than they expected, but I'm still shocked and pleased.

Bill Schell was recommended to me by our contractor when we decided to renovate our house in New Orleans. I had never used Bill before and was hesitant to go with someone I'd never heard of. Our contractor asked us to let Bill give us a bid saying he was very professional and honest. We agreed. Six months later most of the house has been rewired and I couldn't be happier with Bill Schell's Electric. Bill met with us several times looking at our architects plans and gave us numerous suggestions to save money. Once we agreed on what was to be completed he gave us a reasonable bid. Roger and Ryan did most of the wiring and like Bill they were exceptional. While running wires they were careful to be very neat and organized always suggesting things that I had never thought of.
Most importantly, when Bill told me a crew would be at the house, they were there. Bill was great about calling, texting or emailing updates and always answered my questions within a few hours.
I recommend this company if you are looking for an honest professional electrician that will do a great job.
