I really can't say enough good things about Omar and 'Big O electric.' I had a bit of an electrical mystery where one section of my house didn't have any power. And from past experiences from less than honest electricians, I knew that if I hired the wrong person they would have made up some story and charged me whatever they wanted. I've been there too many times.
So I called some friends up looking for a recommendation for an electrician. Most of them didn't have good experiences with the electrician they hired. After a half dozen calls, I talked to an old friend of mine that started raving about Omar. He was very happy with his work and friendly demeanor. So I made the call and I'm glad I did.
Omar came over and I immediately understood why my friend was raving about him so much. He is super friendly and I could tell immediately that he knew what he was doing and really enjoys his job. You don't see that a lot.
Omar took his time and methodically diagnosed the issue I was having. He walked me through everything he was doing and he didn't mind my curiosity
when I was looking over his shoulder. He solved the issue I was having and charged me a fair price. I'm very happy with Omar's work and how easy he is to work with as well.

Omar and his crew are the best!
I had a lot of people come by my 100 year old house and tell me they would have to tear up my walls to rewire the place. The Big O crew proved them wrong by using the existing conduit. There was no need to reinstall. They went above and beyond to help us out with the additional outlets and fire/smoke alarms. They answered any questions I had after the job was done as well. Do yourself and your house a favor and call Omar. He will not let you down.

I rarely write reviews but for this one, it was no brainer. I purchased a home in July and although it was a flip, there were a few electrical issues that needed attention. Omar had been recommended by former neighbors who lived in the community I had a townhome in before selling. I reached out after hearing some positive compliments about Omar's business and service.

What I Needed To Get Done
The home I purchased came with an outdated and unsafe zinsco electrical panel that needed to be replaced (if you don't know about zinsco panels, they can be problematic and/or even cause a fire). Omar recommended a 200amp upgrade incase I go solar in the future or get an electric vehicle. I also wanted to do some minor upgrades to the home including leviton wall plates, moving the dining room light to the center of the room, installing exterior lights and installing google cameras (both security and doorbell).

Initial Inquiry
Upon reaching out to Omar via phone, he explained my options and was very open and honest about pricing and never pressured me whatsoever. Omar was so honest that he disclosed that his prices are not cheap but not too expensive either. Reasonable and budget friendly based on the work and price of materials (let's be real here, inflation is up so materials are much more expensive compared to a few years ago.) No fuss or hidden agenda. His estimate outlined scope of work and price breakdown which I appreciated. Once everything was agreed upon, Omar took it upon himself to call the city and setup an appointment to approve the panel before starting work as required. Omar was friendly, personable, approachable, knowledgeable and just knows his stuff. Communication was fast via phone and text. He will not give you BS. In all of our conversations thus far, it always transitioned to us talking about how we are foodies, comparing food spots and recommending each other spots. At this point, I knew this was going to go very well.

Scheduling & Service
Omar is busy for a reason. He knows his stuff and will deliver good, quality work so of course everyone wants to hire him (as you should too!). I was able to get on Omar's schedule fairly quickly to start work as I wanted to settle in to my home ASAP. His two crew members were awesome, working productively, efficiently and diligently under the hot sun. Since I had a few things done as mentioned above, the work took two days to complete as the panel upgrade took most of the day. The work was neat, clean and satisfactory. Omar answered all my questions.

Results & Follow Up
Omar walked me through the work completed. He made sure if he saw something not up to his own standard, he corrected it (very few with this project). I had some issues with the cameras and doorbell and Omar graciously offered to come back (sometimes during his off days) and re-installed the products when I received the replacements without charging me extra and with no hesitation. Talk about awesome customer service. Omar has kept in touch not only for food recs but to make sure everything was running correctly and smoothly.

I highly recommend Omar for his excellent customer service, quality of work, trustworthiness and most importantly, honesty. The investment was all worth it because Omar checks the box for all these qualities. It is rare these days to find vendors like this. I look forward to using Omar again for all my electrical needs and food recs.

I'm a real estate attorney, my dad is an architect, and my father in law is a general contractor. We know real estate, we know construction, we understand what projects can become, we have high standards, and we know talent and quality work when we see it. Omar and his guys have it. They know their stuff, and they can deliver.

They will quote you an honest rate (which will NOT go up with a million change orders and claims that ""you never told us x""), and that rate is the same regardless of whether you live in one part of town or another. The job is the job. More importantly, they will deliver good work, on time, and they will communicate with you at every turn.

I've used them, I've referred them to friends and clients, and I would not hesitate to call them again for any future electrical need. Highly, highly recommend.
