Where is the ZERO stars??? These 'professionals' sent a teenager to asses my oven. 5 trips later, and many days of canceled trips, no cigar. Finally, the 'manager' tells me: 'this is not covered under warranty'. Im NOT mad cause its not covered under warranty, simply explaing and doing the right diagnostic in the first place woulve been nice... Dont walk away from these ppl, RUN AWAY!!! (youve been warned)

My first ever appliance breakdown in 12 years and BFS calls it ""maintenance negligence"" and refuses to repair. I believe you hire a home warranty company to help you in times of need when a situation like this arises. The guy who came in to diagnose the issue didn't even bother to take a closer look at what the problem may be and failed to give us a proper explanation as well. He asked to run the dishwasher with a cleaning liquid and took a check for $55 and left. Following his advice, we ran the DW with the cleaning liquid and were faced with the same issue and upon calling BFS several times after that they refuse to repair or even send a technician. That I would call ""service negligence"" and lack of customer care.
We have been with this company for quite some time now and expect us to provide a service they promise to deliver.

Use any othe company but this one!
Will not return calls , does not follow through with repairs. Took 6 months for the air conditioner/ furnace to be replaced and completely finished . This is the most disfunctional company we have ever done business with! Poor customer service.

I did not want a home warranty. I thought they were shady; a high margin business where you'd never get the money you paid in back.

I ended up with too much credit when we closed on our house sale and using it for a warranty was just about the only way left to use it.

There were a few things that attracted me to BFS. The first was that they have their own techs. When poor work is done, there's no argument about who did it and who is going to fix it.

With other companies work, you have the insurance company and the service provider which means everything from scheduling, to communication, to warranty has to be passed up and down the chain.

Secondly, their plans have no deductible. I can get someone to come out for free.

Finally, they have an office in San Antonio. Work is scheduled and dispatched from a local office.

We needed our first service call this week and I was blown away by the speed of service and how stress-free it was.

I called the service number and a real person picked up. That was the first surprise.

My hot water heater had stopped working and she apologized that she couldn't get someone out same-day but someone would be out the next day (this was way faster than most plumbers I dealt with).

The tech arrived early (after calling to make sure that was okay). Fixed the issue, and was gone in less than an hour.

Overall, it was all so fast, so easy and completely covered. I'm still not completely sold on home warranties, but if you're getting one, BFS seems like the right way to go.
