My lights and fan quit working in my bathroom. It seemed like a straightforward problem that a trip to the breaker box would fix. When that didn't work, I had no other tricks up my sleeve. Doing what I always do when I need a reliable contractor, I turned to Yelp. I was delighted to see a smorgasbord of highly-rated electricians. So I called 5 of them and left detailed messages. Bill was the first to return my phone call. And in fact, before I got a return call from anyone else, he had already been to my house, traced the problem, and fixed it. Bill was the third electrician we got a quote from. One was totally flaky - took 3 attempts just to get him to turn up, the other was outrageously expensive and obnoxious (gave me a whole line of crap about how my light switch was extremely dangerous and could kill someone). finally we came across Bill - based on his reviews here. He was punctual, factual and had very reasonable rates. He also gave us great advice on what we cold and couldn't do and what products to get from the electrical store. (Went to city lights at his recommendation - which was great and importantly to us not a big box retailer).

We weren't disappointed - he did a great job!

He was on time, willing to work on the weekend to accommodate the apartment occupants schedule, and offered excellent guidance with regards to the myriad of inspections and permits needed. Of the four contractors we contacted for estimates, Bill of Beyonergy was the fastest to respond with the most professionally done and thorough quote, including obtaining a permit which was not brought up by the other candidates. He and another worker finished the job of grounding the outlets and adding a circuit to our 1927 house in under one day. I felt bad that they had to experience the surprises they encountered in the crawlspace under the house, but they were professional about it as they were with dealing with the inspector later. Yes, I would definitely work with Beyonergy again.

We have a 1909 2-unit house whose garage had been ""fixed"" over 50 years by the former owner-- imagine dozens of pointless and dangerous cords and wires. Thanks to Bill and his team, we sailed through the inspection.

What do you want in a hired expert? Reliability, professionalism, competitive bid, honest description of options and fiscal impacts, speed, quality...? Bill is all that and more. I'd recommend him again in a heartbeat.
