I had 2 plumbing issues, I called Best Home Services because of an advertisement coupon in the local paper: $19 service fee plus any repairs that were completed. The customer service person said the technician would arrive in a vehicle with company logo. She scheduled a plumber to come the same day no emergency charge. Next I got a call from their dispatcher identifying a time window for arrival, then an update call from the office with an ETA of 3-6 PM. A short time after 4:30 a text arrived with a picture of the technician. I got a call from the technician, Rob within 5 minutes of the text. Rob was on his way, he would be there within a half hour. When he arrived, he put on cloth booties, was professional, in uniform and prompt. He surveyed the situation, ran water in the affected areas, water was gurgling and backing up in the shower. He then recommended a scope / camera view of the line (that would be a different technician and he would come the following morning. I was OK with that. Next I mentioned the 2nd issue under the kitchen sink. Rob looked, quoted a price and jumped right in. He finished in 40 minutes. This will be my plumbing vendor when I need any help in the future.

No stars!!! Extremely disappointing. I called a plumber to fix my slow water flow in my shower. Not only does this plumber not diagnose the issue properly, but charges me over $300 for his useless services and the original issue was not addressed at all.

AC went out over weekend contacted Best Home Services. I suspected it was a compactor. I let the Technician know that however instead theTech told me it was low in freon. He then pumped freon into my AC unit causing it to over charge. The Tech informed me later it would cost an additional thirteen hundred dollars to repair the AC unit. I had already given him Three hundred dollars for the freon. These people are not trust worthy please don't use them. They don't deserve any stars. Also the tech didn't show or call on the day he was supposed to do my repairs.

giving this company the benefit of the doubt.. we gave them a 3rd time to come to our home. and again no show, no phone call!! do not use this company ever!! zero rated.. not the best, but the worst!!! 8/21/2019..

I called Best early last evening to deal with a clogged main sewer line. They called back promptly. They said they could have a tech out later that evening. They also said they charged $19.95 for them to come out. I repeatedly asked for an estimate of the cost for a simple sewer line clearing. They would not provide it. The tech arrived about 4 hours later. I showed him the access point for the sewer line and asked what the charge would be to clear it. He said $400! I told him I would use someone else as I have had this done after hours in the past. The highest charge I have ever had is less than $180. Daytime the charge is normally less than $100. Had I know what they would be charging I would have called another plumber immediately. To me their behavior is certainly bad and borders on unethical.

They were nice on the phone and got an electrician out the same day I called and the problem was fixed quickly. I scheduled an A/C service for the following week. They called 30 minutes before the appointment and had to reschedule due to lots of emergency A/C calls. Understandable during beginning of summer in Florida. Two weeks later about an hour before my rescheduled appointment they called again trying to reschedule. I said I was already rescheduled and they said no problem and they can make it out later in the day. They called back at 12 and said, once again, that they need to reschedule. I understand people need their A/C working but I've had 2 appointments cancelled. At what point would they make time for their customers who have an appointment?

This company is the WORST EVER!!!!!!!!
I was jacked around sooooo much that hopefully somebody, will be saved from this misery!
I have reported this to the BBB,too!
They already have so many negative reviews already, that I literally had to contact ANOTHER department to file the report because the online reporting was so full!?!?!?
They cancelled twice, today, and not personally. They left a message, both times, after I waited 3hours.
Then when I called they said that, I cancelled!!!!
In addition, when they finally did come out after the 3rd scheduled appt, the tech did not know what a maintenance contract was, and DID NOT know what to do.
I literally had to read it to him, and do a check list. AAAGGGHHH!
And... the idiot charged me $89 for what was supposed to be part of the maintenance service!?!?!?
DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!!!
SAVE YOURSELF FROM THEIR TERRIBLE LIES AND NO SERVICE!!!

Sarasota Best Home Service Technicians are great!. The company ensured I knew via email and text when the technicians were on the way. Jared Smith, Joshua McEachin, Leo Pineda, and Ray Enriquez together showed expert, quality, and professional service. When they showed up the system had been changed and disconnected just to work, and my home would freeze downstairs but be hot upstairs.They tackled my Zone system and put it back together as if the system was new. Chris came out to do the assessment and brought to my attention things that were not code ready. These things upon further researched could have caused me some serious money in damages if gone unnoticed. I would definitely recommend Sarasota Best Home Service in the future and for my AC needs.

I previously gave this company 1 star because of its billing practice of providing an up front bill before starting the work. in my case I calculated the labor charge at over $200 an hour for an electrician who I felt did good work. As it turned out they had to come back 3 times because of problems with the internal wiring. I am sure they lost money on my job.As I said in my first review, the electricians they sent were impressive and did good work. in my case they returned to the job until they were able to fix the problem, which wasn't of their making. The company never balked at returning to complete the work for no additional charge I would recommend negotiating up front by asking how long they estimate it will take them to complete the job. compare their answer with the proposed bill. They will explain how they got to the number. I would definitely use them again.
