I normally do not write a lot of Yelp reviews, but Berk's Electrical & Lighting and their technician, Michael Habib, went beyond the call to solve my electrical problem.

We are in the process of selling our home and had a plumber come out to install a pressure release valve, but they loosened the ground coming in the water line. Guess what, the loose ground popped our electrical circuit.

I called Berk's in a panic and they dispatched Mike Habib immediately. I can't speak more highly about Mike. He was very professional and made me feel that all will be taken care of. Guess what... he diagnosed and solved our issues in a very timely and professional manner.

I would highly recommend Mike Habib, and Berk's Electrical & Lightning.

Allison assisted us, was not happy with the quote services. Did not want to send anybody out to the home to quote us, wanted photos instead. Sent photos, then sent us quote for much higher than other electricians. Was pushy in telling us what we needed instead of listening to the customer's needs. Difficult to work with for a simple home upgrade project, decided to decline services.

Today I had Berk's Electrical & Lighting come to my home to install 7 recessed ceiling LED light retrofits with trim, to existing old light cans. Mike was the electrician. He did an excellent job. He worked his way through the job, paying attention to details, cleaning up as he went along. I live in a older home built in 1964. The old original cans and the popcorn ceiling made it a bit of a challenge. It all turned out great. Now I have much better light through out my house and that makes me so happy. Mike was respectful of my home, left the areas he worked in clean and a very nice guy. So thanks Mike and Berk's Electric , you made my day.

This is my 2nd project with Berk's. First was the 240 V, 50 Amp installation for my Tesla last year and the second another 240 V, 40 Amp circuit for an induction oven. Nabil and Chris were professional, clearly explaining the scope of their work. Workmanship was good, and they cleaned up as much as they could afterwards. We chose Berk because of the expertise, and they are local in Orange County, family owned, and BBB rated.

Engage Berk's Electrical & Lighting.  Ask for Nabil Kattan.  Don't waste your time anywhere else.  It's as simple as that.

Nabil Kattan promptly and professionally addressed our need for a replacement bathroom light fixture.  Nabil efficiently removed the existing fixture and worked to install the new problematic fixure in its place.  He was courteous and professional when he was onsite and worked largely unsupervised.  He was very communicative in his progress and was very flexible and accommodating with his time.

In short, we needed knowledgeable and efficient electrician, and that is exactly what Nabil was.

I trust Berks doing my electrical work. When some of my outlets stopped working, they were out the next day and fixed the problem and problems that would have happened if not for the professionalism of their electrician. I am very pleased with Berks and would not hesitate to call them again.

I called them out because I thought a switch which they had installed a number of years ago did not work. When the electrician got to my house he looked at the switch and pulled out a circuit breaker from under the switch which I was never told was there and that was the way to reset the light. They then charged me $195.00 for this ""service"". I had used them in the past to install all the recessed lighting in my 3500 sq. ft. house which was north of 5K dollars and reinstalling all my smoke detectors which was about 1.2k. After this episode I will never call them again and would recommend you don't either unless you want to be overcharged.
