He received education in electrical theory, electronics, blueprint reading, and drafting at J.M. Wright Technical in Stamford, CT. He gained practical experience by apprenticing under David Conway at Conway Electric. Later, he attended Norwalk State Technical College in Norwalk, CT, where he studied electronics, physics, chemistry, calculus, computer science, and general sciences.
