I called and spoke with Kevin Haines regarding a temporary power pole I need for my residential property project. He seemed helpful at first, and asked me to provide him my contact information, and pictures where the temporary pole would be installed, and he would turn around and give an approximate estimate. I gave the requested info right away, and two days later I messaged Kevin again since I hadn't heard from him. He responded with ""dude, you never game me your full name let alone SDGE paperwork"". I never had a serios professional business refer to a customer as 'dude' with an attitude. I had provided the contact information, and site address, but he knew I didn't have paperwork yet from SDGE because I had told him, but maybe he forgot. When I reminded him, he responded with ""we're not interested in this project"". I wonder why he couldn't tell me that from the beginning. If you're looking for a rude, condescending individual, who has no manner in communication, and wastes your time, then Kevin Haines at Bella Electric is the right person.

After posting this review, Kevin threatened me with a text message stating 'you asked for it' for which I'm filing a police report. Be careful from this individual/company.

Will never use this company again. Needed a new fuse for the dryer. Guy comes out and first thing he says is you need a new panel, surprised you haven't had a fire. How much? Approx 4K. Said no. He left for 1.5 hrs to get a fuse. Gets back says sorry can't be fixed. Fuse melted. Too dangerous to pull out. Leaves. Next day, different company owner comes out,looks,leaves for 20min for fuses. Guess what? No upsell! All fixed. Same panel! What a scam!

The previous tenants left us with at least 2 unusable outlets, broken switch and outlet plates, and exposed wires where they ripped out a car charger they had installed without notifying the landlord - who we are renting from now and had agreed to take on most of the renovation. With the state of the wires and one of the outlets, I was concerned that the house would've been one spark away from burning down. That's only a few things of what needed to be repaired. We also needed to change all the smoke and CO detectors in the two story house. We approached Bella with the challenging task of making these repairs and they went above and beyond what we had asked of them.

When Kevin walked through the house, he walked through it with a vision and recommended lights that can be dimmed, offered to install a charger for our car instead of just repairing it for safety, and replaced all of our outlets and switches and installed modern plates.

The process itself did get a bit tedious sometimes. For example, we asked if they can install our new thermostat, said yes, attempted to install it, turns out it doesn't work, and the old thermostat was thrown away. We had an A/C guy come in just before Bella attempted to install the new thermostat, and we had confirmed it was working before that - we had just wanted to update the thermostat itself. We were advised by Bella after the attempted installation to ask for this type of job from an A/C person rather than an electrician. Definitely a learning experience for first-time home renovators. I appreciate their earnest effort in trying to install it for us, but if this is a service they don't normally do, we would understand and preferred if they were upfront with not accepting this task. There were other moments of miscommunication and late/missed appointments, so I can see some truth in what a couple of other reviewers have experienced. But I want to highlight that this was a challenging project completed by a small team. We also ran into similar difficulties with other contractors who worked on the house, and for good reason - the house was an absolute mess and I understand that having to stay organized with all the jobs that needed to be done for the house from each contractor we hired was an absolute challenge. What Bella did was not easy and if we had to do it all over again, we would choose them. As long as the client maintains effective communication, they will do good by their clients. Overall, we are happy with Bella and the results.

I feel safe in our own home knowing we have new smoke and CO alarms, there are no exposed wires or busted outlets, we're able to actually use the outlets, charge our car, and the dimmed lights make for romantic evenings at home. I'll come back and add more photos later to show the charger and how the dimmed lights look at night. I know this review is long overdue, but truly, thank you to Kevin and the work of his team.

Lack of professionalism and very poor customer service.

I am appalled that I was abruptly hung up on when I was asked to provide my email address. When asked, I simply said that I'd be happy to provide my contact info (to protect my email from more spam) if they were the vendor I'd be moving forward with. Kevin said ""sorry for the confusion"" and hung up on me. I called back to understand what just happened and shared with Kevin that I would have given my email to him if he would have simple explained why it was needed. Instead of a courteous apology, he was arguing with me and said he did it to weed out the ""difficult customers which [I] would have been"" and then follows up with the attached text message.

As a professional sales director, please work on your customer experience skills - the first impression is the lasting impression.

Bella electric services were poorly executed and did not display professionalism. They were late to every appointment that we had scheduled and failed to let us know their ETA before heading to our establishment. They had given us an incorrect quote for a job, and proceeded to not complete the work on hand once they had seen the amount of work to be done. They did not come prepared to their appointments, and up and left mid job. very disappointed

They came out to install a replacement EV charger. They were honest, on-time and efficient. They also took that extra step to diagnose another issue that was lending to the situation. The employee was polite with good bedside manners and a no-nonsense attitude. He didn't try to upsell anything. He verified the prior work was done right, and he made some adjustments to hopefully improve outcome for the future. As a manager myself, I look for certain qualities in an employee and company. I can tell if I'm fed BS, which happens a lot probably because I look very unassuming and naive or something. I'm lucky to have a family loaded with electrical, mechanical, and computer engineers so I have enough information to tell when something doesn't seem right. . . But my family is too busy to do home repairs so we pay people so that we can say everything was done by certified technicians and it makes warranties easier to activate when needed. I highly recommend these guys for your electrical needs.
